You were right Manschy! I have forgotten to copy the xml files in the relevant SODE folder. All well now.
I'm also happy that the "out of P3D folder" package I made works.
I read the manual carefully. I already had SODE and registered for P3D v4. I copied all files as per the instructions. Anyway, I'll check again as it may be the fact that I have a scripts folder...

Btw, I made a package including everything (AI models too) in a neat folder outside P3D folder and made an xml file for it....

They may need a bit of a toning down in intensity imho, but you seem to have gotten the hang of it.

The bump needs to be applied to the texture/material it represents. If this is below the markings layer then it will be below the markings....
It is actually quite simple. If you have already assigned a spec map to your GP material you can assign a bump map too. You need of course to create that bump map first and it will need to be subtle...

Have you tried adding bump maps too? I can't really make out from your screens. All those seams in the concrete would come to life.
