LtZ K. den Hamer from VSQ860 flying his Hawker SeaFury over the Waddenzee in 1956. In February 1957 he would not survive a crash flying a Firefly from NAS Valkenburg.

Where did you get that paint, Huub..?
Has the seafury shot been edited Noddy? Thats bloody awesome :icon_eek: (Lack of drool smiley)
Nope just cropped a bit, the only thing I don't like about it is the cloud in the background on the right side of the shot.
The paint is one of three Dutch repaints I did. As these are all standard patterns these were done in less than 2 hours.
The Dutch scheme included in the original package is one from the VSQ860 demonstration team called the "Aerobats". But somehow I prefer the SeaFury in the standard scheme without the orange nose....
The 10-20 with the white nose from VSQ 3 NAS Valkenburg 1950

And the 10 -10 from VSQ3 in 1948 still wearing its pattern 1 scheme.

The Tin Goose
Attachment 67012
The greatest weight of men and ships the ocean has ever born...
In the worst weather seen off the Norman coast in 50 years
160,000 troops and 195,000 naval personel supported by some 7000 combat aircraft landed along a 50 mile stretch of the Normandy coast, in the face of heavy defensive fortifications manned by some 10,000 Axis troops
UTAH, OMAHA, GOLD, SWORD, JUNO. These places, we must never forget.
