Hey guys,
I am happy to report that the ulcers on my leg are almost gone, each visit they are getting more shallow and smaller in size.
They're now about the size of a dime each, rather than a silver dollar or bigger. The skin surrounding them, and on my lower left leg overall, is greatly improved, and the swelling is down. The ulcer on my ankle closed and healed a few weeks ago. Based on this, I can verify that the surgery is still having positive effects.
Plus, I only have to go to the Wound Care Center on Tuesdays and Fridays now, rather than M-W-F. So, I've already gotten two hours of my week back.
Aside from feeling like death warmed over from this damned cold, things are going swimmingly.
Great to hear Rami, we're all pulling for you.

WOW dude,
that is great news
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you are on the mend m8. :applause:
Great news! I also have that cold....must be something in the air:biggrin-new: I guess we don't need to call "Dr. Bonesaw":dizzy:
Great news Sir, keep up the good work.
That is outstanding news Rami. You must be feeling so relieved. Well done.
Chris
Chris,
Thank you. In all honesty, it's the little things I am looking forward to the most. One of the biggest, once these are healed, is taking full showers again. I have not taken a full shower since the Spring of 2016, because the compression wrap I have on my left leg over the ulcers cannot get wet. They only take it off when I go there to have it changed three (now two) times a week.
Instead, I've had to dunk my head under the shower to wash my hair, and essentially follow George Carlin's hygiene tips about making sure to take care of the four key areas...armpits, a**hole, crotch, and teeth.
Talking that first full shower and breathing in that steam is going to feel spectacular. :wiggle:
Really thrilled for you Rami. That shower is going to be something else.
All the best.
Anthin.

Great news Rami. :applause::encouragement:
Glad to hear good news!
Rami,
Once fully showered and shampooed we want the before and after shots. It won't be your just skin with that warm glow! :wavey:
Great news Rami. :applause:
Beepee
Well sir,
I am hoping that you can take a full shower soon...we cannot enter you into the Boston Marathon if you stink...
Something tells me that we all kinda like you around here ??
Be safe my friend,
Dave
Rami,
Just because it's your first shower for some time, and just because it's yours, don't get in too much of a lather....OK!..;)
:tongue-new:

On this Thanks Giving day in the USA, whether some enjoy the day or not....
I think we all here at the SOH have something else to be thankful for:
Rami is healing and going to be with us for a very long time... What would we do without him ??
No Dice,
It was truly nice to have a "normal" Thanksgiving with my brother home from rehab and doing well, and last Thanksgiving I was a nervous wreck because my mom had a kidney transplant that morning. So having her at the Thanksgiving table instead of the surgery recovery room was truly something to be thankful for, as well as improving health on my part. :applause:
I've got to put a rough draft together for my EDMC 530 class by tomorrow, so no CFS2 for me until that is done. :mixed-smiley-010:
Good morning,
I spoke with the Mayo Clinic yesterday; the preliminary timeline for Phase II of the surgery is February 28th, with a consult on February 27th, 2019. :mixed-smiley-010:
:applause:
That is great news.....And this may be your best Xmas ever sir.
Keep improving...you have a race to run next year.
Dave
Good evening,
Those dates I mentioned are now confirmed by the Mayo Clinic.
That is great news,
Let me see if they make this in extra large,
Gotta get you ready for your next rodeo.
