A sunny day at Plum Island Airport
About an hour ago I went up to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />PlumIslandAirport. The first Sunday in the month and time for the monthly feed. The Fish Chowder was delicious.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
It was a sunny but gusty day and there was not an awful lot flying. The winds were hitting 45 MPH.
A Cessna 172 took off and she rolled 100 foot and was flying. Kind of crooked cause the wind was at her quarter. The Renegade was there and a bunch of L-19s, including one in the hanger from our neighbor, Canada. One sporting the new three bladed, climbing prop. Climbs better and the top speed improved and they report better mileage, believe it or not. The Cochina was covered. I took a photo of all the Liars Club, all outside enjoying a smoke.
