Well isn't that special. Thanks for posting this - I just updated to the newer CC version after reading the article you linked.
I remember when I first stated using SuperAntiSpyware; it would update its definitions maybe once a week. Now it updates multiple times a day :dizzy:
It would seem computers are becoming easier to hack and harder to protect.
Fortunately my Webroot 'Everywhere' seems to have fended this one off.
:encouragement:
DD 26,
My BitDefender caught this one as well...thanks for the heads-up! :ernaehrung004:
According to HowToGeek, it was the 32 bit version 5.33 that was compromised. Lucky I only have 64bit versions, and none have been updated to version 5.33 (and won't be!)
Maybe some of Ya'll may want to ask Dirtman ( in the CFS2 forums)
to add you to his monthly emails..He warns, helps and has monthly
tutorials on this and other updates etc...

Thanks for the warning Dave. As the article already indicated this is somewhere where you least expect to get infected.

Piriform Software just released a new version: V5.35.6210. I'm using the 64 bit version of CCleaner (Free). FYI.
BB686:US-flag:
Although I use the 64-bits version of CCleaner, I still had the malware (Floxif.gen!A) on my PC. It looks like it hasn't done anything and 3 full scans later, I'm convinced my PC is clean again.
Cheers,
Huub
