A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Effects Add-ons

Description: This is a modified version of Nanni's Ground Explosions that was in Blades CFS2 effects package. All the Bells and Whistles that Nanni did are still in it but I made sure the party wasn't over after the blast so grab some marshmallows and wieners let's have a cook out. After all planes are gone of course.

Thanks for commenting it’s you guys that kept this game alive over the years and made the best mods yourself so I’d like to send a round of applause your way as well.

There are three effects depending on the size of the bombs. Picture shown was a 800kg bomb and as you can see it produced a big smoke plume but medium ans small bombs will have smaller effects. i was surprised at how closely these looked like Volcanoes which really wasn't my attention but the gas fire effects i used rather than regular fires seemed to hang inside the hollow crater better and with that smoke it almost looks like a Volcano forming out of the ground ready to kick some butt. I made these because I like the explosive effects better than the stock but they left no fire behind like the stock so what do you do you try see if you can fix it. They made it easy they labeled what most of the effects were in the file so i left their work alone and added smoke and gas fire effects to them

That's really great that someone is working on the improvement, great work. Do you also look at the water effects of torpedoes, or bombs?

Thanks! The Ground Explosions are your bomb effects. That’s what you see after the bombs go off after making ground impact. In the past I have tried different effects in the bombs Dp file but I’ve never really seen it make a difference so I stopped doing that. I’m not a expert on effects so improving torpedo explosions might be a challenge for me. Sure I could make it different but different isn’t always better. I just uploaded new flak effects. I noticed many people are going to Blue Devils flak guns and flak arrangements so I made one for them that makes the flak cloud hanging around longer. My experience with it was its hard to get hit by it and I was fkying a mission designed to bring you down in seconds but it never happened I was hit some yes but that’s about it. Flak clouds look awesome . Right now I’m still working on my B5N2 Kate Master Collection Package. Sometimes I need a break and fiddle with something else like the effects etc.

Not that I’m aware of. There hasn’t been a large amount of people redoing effects especially in quantity since the game came out but for the most part they really did i wonderful job in making the game better. Me I’m just a Jack of all trades and a Master of screwing everything up 12 times before making something halfway decent.
