Gaucho_59 has been working quietly behind the scenes evolving the COD interior. Still a ways to go but making great head way. :jump:
Many of you have graciously volunteered to paint the Grumman variants (E-1B, C-1A, S2F-3, S2T (Military)) over the past 30 days. It would be great during the holidays to check in with your progress to renew the enthusiasm we share for this project. I am hoping the panel and gauge work gets done over the next few weeks as well. These are the last remaining efforts to get this project to beta status so let's try to get the final push done while we enjoy the "leisurely" atmosphere of the year's end.
Happy Holidays to all of you :wavey:
Just remember...I work S L O W! Whole lotta work yet to do.
Merry Christmas ya'll!

:redf: :icon_lol: Thanks Milton. I guess I get a little OCD on this stuff but I don't have as big a "bag of tricks" as some of the more accomplished painters do so it takes me longer to get the effects I can live with.
:salute: :salute: :running:
"mgr" has updated the C1-A Paint Kit to psd format to make it more flexible.
You can download that from here:

If anyone wants to get started on this, shoot me a PM and I will send you the C1A package for testing.
Thank you Sir :jump:

Just an update on the E-1 -- Been adding detail - still very early in the process but the nacelles and MLG door interiors are done now on to the wings. NO shading, hi-lighting, weathering or the lijke have been added yet, just the basic details.

Hi at all!
Wow, is the only word, which I can speak actually. Well, with every new preview it's going harder and harder to wait for the release of that beauty Trackers, Tracers and Traders! Awesome work guys!
Best regards,
Elmar
Thank you Duckie. I have made teh requested changes and passed on a link by PM.
I appreciate the care with which you are approaching your work, and I know everyone else will as well. :applause:
Thank you Elmar. Most of the work is behind the scenes right now. I can say the panel and gauges, the interiors, and the paint schemes are going well. :)
I hope we can be sharing these results with you all soon.
Boy, lots of great talent here! :applause:Just wanted to show that I really am working on the -3 base textures, although been fighting some Illustrator and Photoshop issues. Making some progress with the panel lines now.
Cheers
Looks great Snurdley! Keep those cards and letters commin' folks. Really helps keep the creative juices flowing! :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
Hmmm... me thinks you might know something I don't, Nigel. What are ya' leading on to, mate?
As for everything else... I have been following this project closely since the very first post and I must say that these models will be nothing short of OUTSTANDING, once they have been released. If there is any doubt in anyone's mind, just look at the names of the folks responsible for bringing this project to it's current status. And DON"T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE PICS!!!
Absolutely Phenominal Work, Gentlemen. :medals: I CAN'T WAIT to fly these!!!

Hi BB686, your enthusiasm for the project will be duly rewarded. :salute:
Patience!
What I am leading on to, is this;
As a priveliged member of the team working on this inspired project, Ive had the honour of seeing from first hand, the exceptional standards of craftsmanship involved in all facets of its development.
A great credit indeed, to all who have, and still are, devoting their time and talent to something they're dedicated to.
It is in fact, nothing short of a work (more correctly works) of art!
My statement to Duckie, refers to his methodical and determined manner of handling work. Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing one of his awesome F-4 paints will know what I mean.
And so, with the eventual release of these aircraft in the coming new year, I think there will be great cause for SOH celebration.
A small up to get this project back to the first page!
Uhum...sorry about that; ...altimeter calibration checks!
VERBAL! :icon_lol: To show pics of the E-1B paint in progress right now would be like seeing a photo of a star athlete in street clothes...you probably would not recognize them at first glance! We are all used to seeing them in uniform or their athletic garb. :icon_lol:
However, I can say that work is progressing nicely and at a steady pace. Paint and panels for wings, cowls, nacelles, and taill are all done. Will begin fuselage tonight and hope to begin applying war paint and weathering by the weekend. Maybe a few screen shots by the weekend.

Great job to everyone working on this project. I look forward to taking them around the patch. Keep up the great work.
