Rob, a big THANK YOU !!! Are you a mind reader ? Yesterday I saw a post here on SOH from DL saying the FB.5/9 was en route and just one day later it is already there :jump:.
Oh my, look at that !!! Thanks a million, looks beautiful :-)
Best
Dag
Fabulous!:ernae:
These models just get better and better! I wonder if someone could say if the cockpit frame could be textured? Although minor, that zinc chromate colour is not good for a Vampire (or any other Brit of the period), it should be black or a pale green. As I said, a minor thing in a super new model!
Great news!
Looks perfect for some Rhodesian repaints...
Merci beaucoup Rob,
Just love all of your aircrafts ... :icon29:
Cheers,
Fleurdelys
Nice models there Rob with plenty of detail including the hydraulic lines for the flaps :salute:. The sounds are also fantastic. Lovely little gems to add to my hangar :applause:. And thanks too Peter for the nice reapints.

Wow !
Super nice piece of digital artwork !
Thanks to Mr. Richardson for this superb freeware.
Now what we need is our "SOH" members "TopGun Repainters" to cover
the 32 different countries that have flown this Twinboom Jet.

And I am not counting the number of Squadrons.
Too many ones !!!
SteeveB ?
Zsoltquack ?

Interested on Vampire repaints ?
Thanks again to Mr. Richardson !

Italy, Iraq, France, and South Africa so far .... I know the FB.5 isn't the F.3 .... but hopefully an RCAF model might squeak through ... fingers crossed .... :kilroy:

Thanks a lot Mr Watkins for your superb repaints.
Here is another potential projet from a french plastic model club reference :
French Armée de l'Air 4-LK "8" of "Escadrille Lafayette" at Bremgarten, Germany in 1953
The reference for this potential repaint projet is here :

A lots of photos at the bottom of the page.
"Sioux" Sqdn marks on on side of the nose
and
"Cigogne" Sqdn marks on the other side of the nose.
Hoping you will be interested doing it !
Thanks in advance !

Hi Peter, not a FB5 I know but a Vampire F3, hopefully you can do a what if for me which is could you transport me back 60 years to RAF Llandow where as a 10 year old I and my brother aged 9 used to walk the 2 miles from our home to see what The County of Glamorgan RAuxAF Squadron were up to. This was on Saturdays and Sundays as they were weekend warriors
They had F3's at the time and did until they were stood down, not much to go on just one side of the aircraft probably the same the other side.

Great work Peter, and thanks to Rob for the models :jump:. You've been [pumping out super repaints for these lovely British models. Any chance of maybe doing a Rhodesian one for me? Or maybe Jens-Ole might do one. Anyway, complimensts for the repaints :salute:.
Coming a bit late to this party. This is English Electric-built Vampire F3 VP768 (RCAF 17067) while serving with No. 438 (Aux) Sqdn., based at St Huberts Quebec in the early '50's. Ended up in Mexico with Escuadrón 200 as F.A.M. 7 and was struck off charge in 1969. Will finish and upload later this week.
