Hi Folks,
This time an important model of the old 88. The D1 was the Luftwaffe's main recon ac for several years, especially in the Russian and N.African campaigns.
Papi wanted to get the cockpit, panels and performance correct, so hopefully we've got it closer to how it really performed.

You guys really nailed the FDE on this one! Nearly spot on with the docs I have for the Ju88-A4, which the D1 was based on. Outstanding work Shessi!

I tried to be as close to the original Ju 88 cockpit of the plane eposed in an US museum.
Also to find the best compromiss concerning the colors between the plane exposed and the docs I have and the possibilities in fs.
I use the size 1440 x 900 as my monitor is configurated like this I had a look at some media stores and this convinced me that today most monitirs are wide screen monitors. Also my personal feeling is that this size allows more "feel deep inside"
I read that Shessi things about of a revival of the interesting Heinkel He 115.
Do You agrre if I will use the pictures of the He 115 panel you did once ?

I have aproblem with the textures of this ac. I wanted to make a repaint.
At first I was astonished to find the texture in 2048X2048 size believing that fs9
only "eats" 1024X1024 size.
Than my new repaint showed well in my repaint soft, but on the sim the original
and the repaint showed a texture in complets wrong paint of an A-4 !
I tried all conversation to different formats,. Allways the wrong texture apeared.
What is going wrong?

The simple answer is it's you that's going wrong..ha ha! :a1310:
Yes, Fs9 supports up to 2048x tex, CFS2 up to 1024x, and FSX up to 4096x.
The tex for all the KM Ju88 series of ac are the same, so you can use an A4 tex on a G6 etc. There are subtle exhaust differences because of the Jumo and BMW engines, and air brakes, but that's all.
Make sure the name of the new tex is the same, and you have saved it as the correct format ie DXT3, 365 etc.

I believe that Shessi brought the texture size down from 2048 to 1024, on the final release but check with him. FS9 WILL read 2048,2048 textures with mip maps. ( I didn't think it would either but it does.)Quote:
