Why Can't I download files at SOH?

  To download files from the SOH FTP you must be a logged-in Member using at least session cookies.  

  The most common reason members can't download from the Sim-Outhouse is security settings. Often with very high Windows security settings and high Firewall settings our scripting will not work and downloads will not be available. Some Browsers and Firewalls require customization to allow access to FTP and HTTP servers. Below we have provided a list of settings needed to download files from SOH.

Why do I get a 'page cannot be displayed' error when Download Starts?

  When the SOH file server is busy it will refuse download requests and send your browser a 'page cannot be displayed' error. Our FTPs only allows 50 users at one time so files won't download slowly under peak conditions. If you get a 'page cannot be displayed' error just wait a few minutes and try again.

How do I use the Downloads Pages?

SOH has tried to make our download pages easy to use and powerful to the user. 

Use your mouse and 'mouse over' author names, file types and file categories. You can click on these items and refine your search.

Pull Down Search options include Latest Uploads, Top Downloads, File Type, Category and Author Name.  The search boxes are displayed on the top left of Add-Ons pages the content depends on page type i.e. File Type, Category, Author, Newest Uploads or Top Downloads.

You can also change to the file archive by clicking on the highlighted line just under the page title. Sometimes older Add-Ons can be found in the archive dating back to CFS1.

By clicking in the pull down box on the top right side of the screen you can change pages. At the bottom of every SOH Add-Ons page you can go to the previous, next, first or last page or choose a page in a pull down box.

Also at the bottom of every SOH downloads page there is a search window that allows the user to search by newest uploads, top downloads, file type, zip name or author.
