Brand new textures for the Aeroplane Heaven Fokker

Like I did with Aeroplane Heaven's F3F-2, I found the recently released Fokker E.III/IV to be a very exacting model for me to ply my wares. So, I did an Emiril job on the E.IV 164/16 and kicked it up a notch. This E.IV Eindecker has reportedly been flown by Max Immelmann and also by Kurt Wintgens of Feld Abteilung 6b. Nonetheless, it had black and white quadrants painted in the wheel covers, which I corrected. Also, I have a texture photo of an actual piece of German Doped Linen. This is in a 512 X 512 size. I used this to copy and paste into all fabric surfaces on the texture.6 E.IV. New frame lines were done with new gradients and shading. Think of this as a factory fresh E.IV. I also painted in control line holes on the fuselage and corrected the metal cowling to my liking (I could see no Fokker nameplate in my reference) and also cleaned up the alpha for the cowling and fabric overall. I plan to muck it up a bit, but could not help sending up a clean version. Caz Dalton, January 2010

A fictional repaint of the wonderful Zivko Edge 540 by Tom's FS Add-Ons, available @ Simviation for FS9 and FSX. This little airplane deserves a five gold star award, it is the best freeware one could ask for. My only regret is my lack of time to fly it lately. Corrected Lebanese SM.79 repaint

My Lebanese paint for Manuele Villa's SM.79 was fine, but it was totally off in the fact that it was a bomber, not a transport. Converting it was easy and I added the black wing leading edges. However, by converting it to a bomber, it has spinners in lieu of a plain prop. The good news is, I could paint the spinners red, which I did. The new textures will have the repainted edges and red spinners. But I also had the cfg information totally incorrect, so please do the following when installing the new textures. In FS9, go to the Savoia Marchetti SM-79 MVG folder and copy the texture.205 folder. Paste it back and rename it texture.lebanon. Extract the new paint texture into that and overwrite. Do not forget to copy and paste all of the base textures from the texture folder over too. In FSX, go to the Savoia Marchetti SM-79 MVG folder, not the "Bis" folder. Again copy texture.205 and paste it back, then rename it texture.lebanon. In both the FS9 and FSX aircraft.cfg, copy and paste the below information below the last entry and enter the next number in place of the *. [fltsim.*] title=SM79 LEBANESE SPARVIERO BOMBER sim=SM79M model=bomber panel= sound= texture=lebanon kb_reference=SM79M_ref ui_manufacturer=Savoia Marchetti ui_type=SM.79 Sparviero/Bomber ui_variation=Lebanese Air Force description=This is an SM-79 used as a transport aircraft by the Lebanese Air Force from 1949 until the early 1960s. they were the last SM-79s used operationally. Colorful aerobatic Fw-44 Repaint

These are repainted textures for the Focke-Wulf Fw-44 "Stieglitz" (Goldfinch) by A.F. Scrub for FS2004/FSX. File name fockewulf44.zip at FlightSim.com. This repaint represents a very colorful privately owned German Fw-44 used for serobatics, D-ENAY. A separate reflective model file is in the zip also. Thanks to Tim Dement (OBIO) for doing the reflective model file. This does not replace the default model file, it is separate and IDed through the aircraft.cfg. Caz Dalton

Non-reflective Lancaster textures

These are textures for the Dam Busters Lancaster, in which I have removed the Alpha, which caused far too much reflection on the exterior camo paint than I cared for. A new prop blur is included also. If you have the freeware Dambuster's Lancaster and like me, do not like the reflective textures, feel free to replace them with these. Just extract the seven textures in the zip to the z5_DB_PD_OR_Lancaster_AJG1 texture.4 folder and overwrite when prompted. The only alteration needed in the aircraft.cfg involves the prop blur. To make it show rotating and not static, add this line in the aircraft info below the ui_variation=00 ED-932 AJG R50 1: prop_anim_ratio=1.05

I had the wrong fuselage in the default texture replacements, it should be the "Blue Burgler Wasp" of VF-7 and I had VF-5 aircraft with a red tail. This is the correct fuselage and tail. Caz
