A Sim-Outhouse Community Project: Douglas A-26 Invader. Responding to a challenge to produce a highly-realistic model of the Douglas A-26 Invader, SOH members volunteered and took on assignments to produce gauges, textures, sounds, 3D components, flight model, etc. Other SOH members scoured their resources to provide photos, information, and even video recordings to help make the model the best they could. When the time came to test the model SOH members eagerly signed up to beta test and help work out the bugs. In total, nearly 100 people have contributed to this model in some way or another.

This is a repaint only for the Wings of Power Boeing B-17F/G Flying Fortress, in the markings of the Vintage Flying Museum's B-17G "Chuckie." This aircraft was purchased in 1979 by Dr. W.D. This is a repaint only for Alphasim's Texan/Harvard. This aircraft, "Double Vee," is the only authentic, fully restored aircraft in existence that was once used by the Tuskegee Airmen. During WWII its roll was to train the Tuskegee Airmen in the methods of aerial combat maneuvering and gunnery, this coming before graduated kadets would transfer to the P-47 and P-51 as members of the 332nd FG. The aircraft, now owned by Steve Cowell, has been fully restored and painted in its original markings it wore while in service as an advanced fighter pilot trainer at Tuskegee, Alabama. The name "Double Vee" comes from the historic campaign waged during World War Two for African-Americans. It stood for a double, uncompromised victory - a victory abroad against the Axis powers and a victory at home against prejudice. Repaint is based on Alphasim's paintkit.

By 2002 the aircraft was sent to Fighter Rebuilders in Chino, CA to finish the restoration. Then, after serving with Sweden, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, the aircraft was purchased by Dan, begining restoration in 1974, and being flown regulary ever since. Unfortunately in 2006, while participating at Reno, the aircraft was highly damaged when high pressure O2 was put in a low pressure bottle in the rear fuselage and it exploded. The aircraft is now back in rebuild, and hopefully it will be seen in the skies again soon.
Unfortunately I uploaded the wrong final version of the main texture. There was a final modification done to one area of the texture and by accident it was not added to the final .zip. Simply replace the one texture with the one included in this fix. File required is hurrlwillie.zip.

Making its first post-restoration flight in 1991, the aircraft was finished in the markings of "Little Willie," the Mk.I flown by Pilot Officer Geoffrey Page of No.56 Squadron when he was shot down in August 1940. After being recieved in California in 1999, the aircraft only saw about 50 hours of flying time before being purchased by Ed Russell of Canada where it resides today. Based at Niagra South Field, the aircraft can be seen routinely throughout the summer performing at select airshow events, and is the only currently flyable 109E left in the world.
