Thanks John, I was following the other thread - thankfully it stayed true to the topic - tempting though it was, to reply to a certain boorish, self-entitled ingratitude .... :pop4: ... anyway .... just a comment to say "THANKS!" for the Wozza Texan fixes. I know you're maybe a bit more inclined to the SU model, but for those of us enamored with the former, this was a really sweet surprise. Have a great day. Best,

Hello, Did this ever get released? I'm looking everywhere here on the SOH library ... Indeed any of the USMC ones you did would be most welcome. Links are dead, alas... Just got the model - really love it Virtavia - great job. Yes, a few niggles here and there - but overall, glad I got it - on sale, no less!! cheers, DL

Funny you should ask ... When Don's latest update was published, I saw the indicators for down as barberpole. That just seemed odd - but in in some photos in my books, they indeed show that for some of the newer E/J/L models. (eg: rear cover of Detail & Scale F-8 Crusader). Steve Pace's F-8 Part One, p.66 shows a vertical bar on a B model. In most of the museum models, they seem to be barberpoled....

Hello JAFO, Just had to pop in to say a huge thanks - in particular for the DFRC scheme, with the fixed lettering option, no less. The metal looks awesome - all the various panels with different shades of polish - looks just superb. With all this work you've done, there really is something for everyone. Many kind thanks! DL

It's been out for years. Russel Smith did a number for this model way back in 2006. Here they are, including the low vis paint in question: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=Crusader+russel&CatID=root&Go=Search Enjoy!

Well, looking forward to whatever you come up with. Indeed, those "older" NASA paints you did were my favourite for this model until this recent batch. So if they benefit from any of your current panel line work great - no worries either way. A further twist on the NASA models - for more peaceful purposes, could be a rendition to represent the earth science surveillance platform that was the U-2 and now the ER-2. One could easily argue the delta wing does not confer the greatest high-altitute performance - but, it's a sim, right? A bit hard to find good photos ... I really like this older scheme with the blue meatball ... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/theplasticsurgeon/ModelPlanes/U2s/Airfix_U2_Nasa.jpg . http://aether.lbl.gov/www/projects/u2/U2EXPGFS.JPG

http://royalefrenchnavy.perso.sfr.fr/RFN-1-CDG-FR.htm - look at the 2) on the right. Don, what's there more to say - other than AWESOME - CAN'T WAIT! Another RF-paint seems almost too good to be true - that you've mapped it to the F8U-1Emodel is great news - the fewer missiles, the better! :) Looking forward to this - and it's motivating me to find more time to finish my Cuba '60 scenery project ... Regards, Daniel

A long time ago... at an Airport far, far away...the names and locations are changed to protect the guilty.

After the dark ages of my professional life, I left the glamour, high pay, and adulation of pretty girls(ok, I exagerate) hung up my uniform, and entered the glamourous, high paying, chick magnetizing (allright allready, I'm exagerating. Especially about the high pay, glamour and girls...) world of civil aviation. Much to my dismay; rather than wearing a slick uniform

We get a blog, too! How sweet is that. I'd better use it then. But not so much today, though this morning is a good subject, the decline of the ability to reason, and understand simple english in the clear. Which relates directly to not making a long entry. I'm trying to type with one hand in a cast, and 3 fingers on the other mitt taped together, and a head full of percocets or something-great stuff. I could pull out all my teeth right now and not feel a thing! I'd drawn one of the young sprogs-lets
