Over the years, I have gone through several types of chairs. I've gone the route of buying the cheapest office chair at Walmart...to a fancy simchair setup. My experience is, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. My current chair was bought off of Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002FL3LZI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But then I bought oversized wheels for it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001H96YRG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 All in all, I am quite satisfied with it. VERY comfortable for my back. Not to say it would be for yours. AND the armrests are the perfect height.

It's always been a dream of mine to own a full-motion flight simulator. The cost of one is not cheap, and then there's the problem of space to put one. But maybe someday. I am not mechanically-minded enough to build one, so a ready-made model would be my choice. The "Dreamflyer", I think, is one of the more reasonably priced ones available. Although I have built a couple simpits, a motion simulator would be awesome! http://www.mydreamflyer.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8ovmDGzFPA NC

I have to say that nothing surprises me nowadays. When looked at everything in its entirety, this culture of ours has changed so much from what I grew up to believe is just and true. Seriously, it's as if everything I was taught to be wrong is now considered acceptable. Anyone else feel this way? It is maddening. I try not to let things like this get to me, but it's not easy. I did read the reviews about it. The aircraft themselves are beautiful; no disputing that. But there is a lot that is NOT available in this sim: http://simhq.com/_air14/air_516a.html Although the sim has beautiful graphics, there isn't any AI, for example, and (as I understand it, only one set of textures - no changing seasons. (I've been recovering from mouth surgery, so just now catching up on Ant's T-28D.) I felt good enough yesterday to acquire Ant's T-28D and install it. I picked it up at FS Pilot Shop (along with a 50% off A-4...couldn't resist) and had no install issues. I was too taxed after all that work, but finally took my first flight in the T-28D this morning. Good looking, excellent flight dynamics and rock solid in the groove. Thanks Ant for a great addition to the FSX galaxy!

I bought this program WAY back in 2008. Hardly used it, and uninstalled. Well, I decided to give it another try. I went through the install process, but (try as I might) I am unable to get it to show up in the Addons drop down menu. Everything else I want is there, i.e. AICarriers, Instant Scenery, etc..., but not Walk and Follow. I emailed DBS support, and will wait and see what they say. Just wondered if anyone out there could offer suggestions. Thanks. NC

Arno's Model Converter software was mentioned in an earlier post I'd read. This is a good example why YouTube video tutorials are helpful. Am off to see if there might be one? NC Update: Just checked. Saw at least one that is applicable. If I can figure this out (a true challenge!) it would be awesome. So many cool objects that could be used. Additionally, I need to learn how to organize my object library so I can more easily find things.

I've recently read posts about using static objects from other sims, such as CFS. The general concensus, as I understand it, is that it is possible, but with necessary modifications. Arno has created some great software. Does anyone know if his software, or any others, will easily convert these objects for use in FSX scenery? Thanks. NC

I had the privilege of several backseat rides in NATC TA-4s in the early 70s. Sooo much fun! Oftimes the pilot, usually USMC, would try to get me sick. Not happening. The more barrel rolls, high speed turns, flips, etc... they would execute, the more fun it was!! Working on the Skyhawk was simple, easy. When I went through maintenance training at Millington, TN, the Skyhawk was what we learned on. Egress AND Environmental systems were basic. Dependable too. I compare sitting/riding in the Skyhawk cockpit to the comfortable feeling of wearing a snuggly fitted glove. Definitely NOT an aircraft for a portly-built pilot! I think my most memorable ride was a hop, flying dogfight maneuvers with another USNTPS (US Navy Test Pilot School) aircraft. Think of the best roller coaster ride you've ever been on, times 100:salute:. Navy Chief

Good to know a fellow RW flyer in the area. I'd certainly need an extra beta tester once I'm done with final phase of the kmrb project. If interested, pls send your puter specs to toksawe@gmail.com. Note that I don't pay testers since I am a small set-up relative-wise, but you get the final commercial product free.
    Cheers,
    Graham
