That was interesting. It was a bit startling to see the cars come screaming onto pit road at race speeds. As the 48 was starting his run I was thinking "ok, who is going to be the first one to screw this up?" LOLOLOL :icon_lol:

The 13 year old who sang the National Anthem at the start of that pickup truck race didn't alter any notes, didn't add any extra notes, and didn't make it "all about me". Like it when they do it like that! :salute:

Go to the Saitek Control Panel > Deadzones Tab and set the Mouse X and Mouse Y deadzones to max. This effectively blocks the mouse cursor inputs and should solve the cursor running wild across the screen problem.

I have my 2nd X52 Pro now. The 1st one had the same issues as mentioned by Kiwikat: Crappy connection cable and mouse cursor giving inputs while centered so I disabled it too. Just after warranty expired on the 1st one I had, most of the throttle buttons died. No issues (yet) with the new one but it is just 2 months old now. The reason I still wanted the X52 is it's price, the stick twist rudder control and the programmability.

Just curious, why aren't you using Anti-Aliasing? You have a GTX 570 according to your signature. It makes FS look a thousand times better, even at low settings. Those "jaggies" would drive me absolutely insane after 5 seconds. :kilroy:

The X-52 pro is average quality except the awful cable that connects the throttle to the joystick. The connection took less than a year to start going bad. The little mouse/cursor thing on it ended up bugging out all the time so I had to disable it. I ended up getting rid of the joystick and just using the throttle from it. I got a CH Products joystick to go along with it. I am very frustrated by the quality of consumer joysticks. CH Products makes the best consumer-grade stuff, though they go bad after a while too. For the price I can't say I would recommend it.

PRB started a thread Bugs... in The NewsHawks
I live about 25 miles west of Lambert Field (KSTL) and, apparently, right under some sort of designated approach path to the airport, from the west, because I see airliners fly over, all day, heading east, at 5000-8000 feet(ish). They're always at low lower, which would make sense, so they're not very loud, but often loud enough to make me get up and look into the sky to watch. Tonight, one of them was a little louder, so I went outside to look. It was two "Super Hornets" in close formation. That was cool. They must have business with the fine folks at Boeing...

PRB replied to a thread Star Trek: Into Darkness in The NewsHawks
Ok, full disclosure: I like Star Trek (the old series). I understand the frustrations of the followers of the “religious text”. My frustrations with these movies, although minor in the “grand scheme of things”, isn't about Star Trek in particular. It's all these “re-makes” that piggy-back on a title, but have almost nothing in common with the title upon which they're “piggy-backing”. So now Snow White is some sort of knife wielding vampire huntress? I can't wait for the Gilligan's Island movie remake... I'll probably watch the new "Star Trek" movie, because I like adventure films, more or less. But "Star Trek", it isn't. They should call it "Space Awesomeness" and let it stand on it's own. :icon_lol:

I had to pick this one up since they added flight planning in the G1000. I am impressed by the frame rate. I am holding steady at between 28 and 30 fps (locked at 30). Unfortunately the large MFD is not very high resolution. That's probably one of the reasons the FPS is so good. The torque/RPM relationship seems to be modeled fairly well. She climbs right by the numbers too. Only disappointment thus far is the sounds. But I guess that was to be expected when coming from such a superb turboprop simulation like the Q400... Not sure what Barfly means by no actual reverse. I was able to back her up and turn her around without pushback. Back to the flight!

Sure, actually the tail (and wing position) lights are embedded in the MDL file and use these FX files: Steady tail light = fx_MIIIB_FixeOrange.fx Flashing orange tail light = fx_MIIIB_CliOrange.fx Flashing white tail light = fx_MIIIB_CliBlanc.fx So, if you want to use alternative light FX, I guess you can make a copy of another light FX, then rename it to the FX name used in the MDL file, for example: rename a copy of fx_shockwave_strobe_sm.fx -> fx_MIIIB_CliBlanc.fx replace the RESTAURAVIA fx_MIIIB_CliBlanc.fx with your new version.
