When a single gauge, regardless of it's real world applications, costs as much or more than the airplane you're putting it in, I'd have to say NOPE, don't need it, lol.

Well, we left Moree and headed in the general direction of Brisbane, landing at a small dirt strip near the town of Warwick (YWCK). Looks like a nice place to visit. According to one of the local historical attractions, the Australian Federal Police can trace its roots to an incident that happened here on November 29, 1917. The Prime Minister at the time, W.M. (Billy) Hughes, stopped by to give a speech. One onlooker, a Mr. Patrick Brosnan, was unimpressed enough to pitch a well aimed egg in the direction of the PM, knocking off his hat. The authorities also suspected that Mr. Brosnan was "assisted" in this heinous act by his brother, Bartie. Perhaps Bartie held the egg. When Mr. Hughes demanded the arrest of the perpetrator, he was told by the local police officer on the scene that he...

Thanks Pat! I was Googling for the name of the mountain range but could not find it. Glad the observatory survived!

Speaking of "Wildlife+", I downloaded that and installed it but never was able to figure out how to get it to function. What's the secret?

Well as I noted, hitting F2 does nothing and no amount of F2 activates the reverser. If it works for you, great. . . .my post above indicates otherwise.

Regardless of the Sim you're running, is there a way to verify that Simconnect is installed?

We flew from Narromine to the town of Moree. The notable land mark along the way was the Castlereagh Highway, which follows the river of the same name. I think the hills on the horizon in the first kodak are where Woorat Mountain is, atop which sits the Siding Spring Observatory is, the largest in Australia. Dang, we should have checked that out... Milton's Aeros were in abundance during this flight!

As far as I can tell, applying the posted changes to the wheeled version, there is little difference. With brakes off it immediately begins to roll and on a 5000' strip it reaches about 60kts with no advance in power beyond idle. Also, using the F1 and F2 keys as noted also shows no effect. No reverse is noted and as far as I can tell, using your picture as a guide, it will not enter beta range. This could be because I see only a slight difference in the position of your power lever (yours appears to even with the letter "E", using the upper edge of the portion that goes into the slot. . . .whereas mine in even with the letter "L".) At any rate using the F2 key or the mouse seems to have no effect it simply bounces back up to it's normal position.

nice however for future reference the roundels are the wrong way around on the wings and the side one is too far back as its right behind the intake There are a couple of RAAF mirages for this exact model at avsim and flightsim.com that have already been done and have the correct RAAF marking layout you could use for future reference

I found that you need to install the sim connect files in order in the redist folder for sim connect to work correctly

It does the same function in P3D as FSX as highlighted about its required maybe deleting your corrupt file and then doing a P3D repair It determines what is used for the road, boat, and animal autogen/traffic
