I note that Milviz accurately describe the principal features of this aircraft on its website. One of the advertised features is realistic start-up and shutdowns. Milviz also provides the opportunity for a potential purchaser to download the manual, without any purchase commitment. On my reading, the manual leaves no doubt as to the start up procedure required. The reviews of the product, which I have been able to locate, also record and refer to the start up procedure. I would like to congratulate Milviz on its transparency and honesty in the marketing of its products.

Ed, this hangar looks great! It is good to have real photos to use as textures. I remember how good it was to texture the big white hangar at Fantasy of flight because I had good pictures. Lots of work in photoshop to adjust them but it is worth it.

Why don't you give John's latest FDE for the Wozza bird a try? It's here in the library: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?linkid=16596&catid=4

We all use Arno's ModelconverterX for that: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14215 You need first to convert Sketchup to collada (.dae) and then import to MCX and export to mdl or directly to bgl. The bgl can then be placed using any object placement tool. There are tips for converting though, not 100% straightforward so let me know if you need help. Check out the threads at FS Developer if you want to learn. If just the bridge is what you need pm me and I may try to convert it for you.

I just love that lighthouse style tower! Mind you the transparent glass will probably not convert straightforward from sketchup. I'll check the MCX settings I used that worked well at Tifton terminal and send them to you.

You've fully got the hang of it Ed. Don't hold back posting your WIPs. I know how it feels. Just start importing some in FSX to see how they look in the sim and check how FSX renders them. A good idea is to temporarily hide the edge lines and corners in sketchup to get a clearer 3d shape.

As I said, I simply had to get this. Kastellorizo is the south eastern edge of this country (well actually it is the smaller island of "Stroggili" just east of Kastellorizo but this is also included in the scenery with a heliport and lighthouse as well as the smaller island of "Ro" just west). The people living there are true heroes in every sense and they are fortunate to have this airport which is literally carved in the mountain. The devs have captured this feature well and the scenery is spectacular. The only downside to me is that the area of coverage is extremely small, e.g.compared to Skiathos which is a larger island. The FPS are excellent, obviously helped by the sparsity of autogen vegetation. The 3d objects used to recreate the excavated mountain sides blend nicely with the surrounding terrain. A few pics from my old system, not doing it full justice:

Well, you beat me to it. This is the resident An-2 of my home field. I was there on Saturday and took a lot of pics in order to paint it. You did a great job! Would it be possible to have the psd file to add a few details I noted. I need to fly this plane over Tatoi. Please PM me if you wish to share it. I will of course understand if you don't wish to do so.

That is looking good Ed! If you want I have made a 3d-object for the green bush in front of the terminal and used it in my Ikaros airport and also in the Fantasy of Flight around the water tower: I can send you the sketchup file which is the long version and the textures and you can do your gardening.

Hi Guys, Gosd, try deleting the uisel.xml file inside the application data folder, this will set the start location to fowlmer in Britain, your aircraft back to P47 and I think from memory a 109 as the enemy. C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME HERE\Application Data\Microsoft\CFS3 ETO Expansion_________\uisel.xml dont worry the game will build a new one when you restart the game.

I have all of these missions and was looking forward to this last leg. Now I'm looking forward to flying it later today: http://www.vertical-studios.net/products/colorado-camping-weekend If you haven't tried these and you like GA mountain flying do yourselves a favour and get them. Lovingly crafted by a real life pilot who is using his experiences in making these missions. Lots of material also provided like charts that add to the fun of preparing for the flight, like in real life. The Swiss adventure is also great and was fun doing for me as I have actually flown from Sion, one of the airports featured."]http://www.vertical-studios.net/products/colorado-camping-weekend If you haven't tried these and you like GA mountain flying do yourselves a favour and get them. I could not resist this one. Downloading now. There is one at Tatoi, my home field owned by a Greek shipping and media magnate. They let it out once in a while and fly it around. I might paint this:

I will be looking forward to that one. Never flown a 114 but reading about it I was dissapointed by Carenado's FDE and never fly it anymore in FSX. Your version will return the plane to life for me. I still owe you data on the 172. Will get there some time. I just need a willing copilot to work with me on that.

Another one bites the "3d" dust!:icon_lol: Looking good Ed. Give me or RD a shout if you run into issues importing it to FSX or texturing it.

Hi Guys, the following files are the FP lancaster bombsight positions. Lancaster = lanc_Cockpit4.M3D lancaster F2F = lanc_F2F_Cockpit4.M3D lancaster_GS = Lancaster_GS_Cockpit2.M3D The bomb sight model files are usually around 3kb in size. Just open them in hex editor like you did and search for .dds with a charecter search, if you want to apply a new sight texture just type in a name with the same amount of charecters and set your new texture name to match and your good to go.

SX-AKL, the Cessna 152 of Athens aeroclub that I soloed in and is in my Avatar. Done for the Carenado C-152: I found out the hard way about Carenado's mirrored textures and how much this restricted the things I wanted to paint differently between the two sides.
