The standard key or clicking on the crank handle in the VC should toggle the gear. You should see the crank turning and the gear indicator moving. The gear takes 30 seconds to fully retract. There is no sound when the gear is retracting or extending, I need to make a custom ratchet sound for it. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Maury, it is a 'long weekend' here in Holland and I haven't been home all the time. Will release the new panel sometime this week. BUT...... please read the manual. This is NOT the same as the default G1000. It is a combination of the PFD and G500 in one 'gauge'. I think the picture you showed was correct all along. ;-)

It is specifically forbidden to wear German uniforms and gear on this event. Maybe not so obvious to our American brethren, but even after 70 years AND with neo-nazi groups still GROWING here in Europe, things are very much sensitive in that respect. Seeing all the wonderfully restored equipment drive around with a bunch of tourity-clad visitors on top is indeed a bummer for us military types ..... :kilroy:

Thanks everybody ! This weekend (and Whit Monday today) I have been working on other things AND visiting the WW2 MiliTracks event (see Ferry's photos in the other forum !)..... but the new Hudson will see the daylight this week. Some more pictures to answer questions...... no guns ! And oh, the 'oxygen' switch has inverted text.... will be patched. As for the Normandy scenery.... I'll post a separate thread on that !

The original paint kit got so complicated with three different models that I am now breaking them up for each of the models. When I get it together I'll post a link for download. One of the problems I encountered was with the wing floats. Currently you can only paint them one color due to the way I overlaid the UVW maps. Since there are already some repaints done it would screw them up if I were to correct this. There was only one paint scheme that had two color wing floats and that was the USCG WWII version three tone paint, (sorry jankees), all other paint schemes had one color floats.

I've found Nvidia to always be very reliable. I always save the last drivers I installed that way if something goes wrong with the new ones you can always backup to the earlier drivers. I will be installing the new drivers on my 650Ti.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX American Aircraft Description: The Grumman J2F Duck (company designation G-15) was an American single-engine amphibious biplane. It was used by each major branch of the U.S. armed forces from the mid-1930s until just after World War II, primarily for utility and air-sea rescue duties. It was also used by the Argentine Navy, who took delivery of their first Duck in 1937. After the war, J2F Ducks saw service with independent civilian operators, as well as the armed forces of Colombia and Mexico. This is a work in progress and will always be WIP but it is comparable to the restoration of an antique auto in that it is not done but is an enjoyable drive to the car show. Unlike the first post of the Bad Duck this update is not passworded and is free to all. A new paint kit will be available to those who request it. Please read the ReadMe file for more information and credits. Thanks for downloading

You want the bad news first !? Alright. Unfortunately we have to make just a little money n order to be able to continue our work, justify our time, and above all, pay for the hardware and software ..... and so we have to charge a modest amount for our products. Although we DO also produce freeware from time to time. The good news? Simon has made an expansion pack for our Lockheed Hudson, now adding the MkIII in military and civilian versions AND the Lodestar Model 6 in civil and military liveries ! In the shop next week !

Normally I don't care much for light aircraft unless it served a roll in WWII then I'm very interested. Ok, I did a little digging and the models 24 and 61 were used by the US Army, US Navy and the RAF in the early part of the war and some were equipped with two 100lb bombs during the battle of the Atlantic. PAINT KIT PLEASE!

Because AICarriers2 has not kept up with the latest versions of Java I would recommend not installing it and trying to correct Java to work with it. You will end up with more problems then its worth. You can still have AI carriers in a couple of ways. The easiest would be to install Javier's carriers ( if you don't already have them) and "Carrier Tracks 1 and 2" available at Avsim. You can also with a little bit of work (not much) create your own AI carrier tracks with AIBTC (AI Boat Traffic Compiler). I do this myself and you can use any landable CV in your SimObjects\Boats folder. All these programs and models are freeware. You can opt for VRS's TacPack which does the same thing as AICarriers2 but it is not free. All these options avoid Java and in my book that is a good thing.

In case you haven't noticed yet, we have released a very nice South African Light Sports Aircraft, the Sling 2 ! It is built by The Airplane Factory near J'burg and comes in 2 liveries for FSX and Prepar3D. At a VERY friendly price I might add. ESPECIALLY if you take into account that we are also giving you two FREE autogyros in the same package ! Check out the product page and screenshots on our shop at www.silvercloud-store.com and treat yourself to a nice little scenery-tourer ! Meanwhile, Simon now is working full time on the Avro Anson of course....... :-)

    Hello.

I wanted to comment on the FSX Solomon 1943 pack you released.I guess you are the author of the pack.I installed it a couple of hours ago.To me it looks great, even though I don't have a warp drive/speed Bill Gates machine for sure.I was surprised to see the static planes/boats etc,are not affecting my frame rates either.Which is a good sign.

Are there any plans to add some AI traffic and some flights to this project?.it would be nice to see some WWII AI planes flying around?. In general I like this package, and hope to see others related to WWII.
