From someone who has made a couple dozen paint kits for commercial products, this paint kit is a good one. All layers are labeled which is a real plus. A huge plus also is that the files can be opened in Photoshop 6 and Paint Shop Pro 7 so I'm extremely happy about that. Might merge some layers but will up the opacity of all to 100% so I can see what is included before loosing the flexibility that is currently there. Good kit TuFun. :ernaehrung004:

Look below the backup Attitude Indicator directly beneath the radar screen. The range adjustments are made there. Modes are cycled on the left console. :ernaehrung004:

Some images don't provide a clear shot of the nose. And something with a hump could also be an "L". And you can't always trust image captions. From my experience CAG birds are numbered with 00 and it's the nose number to watch for. Like 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, etc. And if it is the real CAG and not just the squadron CO's aircraft they will have the usual rainbow of colors included somewhere in the scheme to distinguish them (and CAG spelled out, they like everyone to know who they are). The tail number is just the last four digits of the serial number. :ernaehrung004:

I don't think the various venders have any sort of arrangement between each other. If anything they are in competition. I would suggest emailing Virtavia support at "tech.support (at) virtavia.com". Be sure to provide all of your original purchase information from the Flight1 receipt. You never know. :ernaehrung004:

I'm not sure why that view option was left in. I recall discussion during development that it was felt that the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) panel on the left console covered everything (pages 32-33 of the manual) and we didn't need a popup. Easy fix is to comment out the "Window03" line in the panel.cfg file in the "Virtavia A-4 Skyhawk 0-1 Clean/panel" folder as shown below. Window00=Main Panel Window01=Radio Stack Window02=GPS // Window03=Autopilot Hope this helps.

That is interesting about reverting back to an older model. In times of war... I used to always use the insignia location as a quick guide as to whether it was a C or an E but from all the research for the Virtavia release I found a few exceptions. VA-72 "Blue Hawks", VA-81 "Sunliners", and VA-93 "Blue Blazers" all had a few A-4E's with the stars-n-bars on the forward fuselage. Haven't checked to see if they were of a particular serial number range or transferred from another unit. Another example was VA-46 "Clansmen" off the USS Forrestal. This WIP was started after I had finished my F textures for the release so it was too late to beg for a change in the texture mapping so textures going around the top would still work. These don't so it will probably not be finished....

Have uploaded the squadron mate. The particular aircraft was flown by Lt Ernest Christensen who was forced to eject 70 miles offshore on June 23, 1968 due to an engine flame out following a combat mission.

Interesting comparison. It would also be interesting to see a comparison with the first generation Harrier that the Yak-38 would have been in response to. Comparing it to a Harrier II is like comparing Mirage III specs with those of a Mirage 2000. They both have delta wings but ... :ernaehrung004:

Karen emailed them again the other night, received an auto-responder (the 2nd one) stating that there is a delay in communications currently. You're one step further ahead than us. We'll follow it up again on Monday evening our time, unfortunately there's not much we can do. They've now received 3 emails from us and waiting a further week (from last Monday to this), is bothersome, however we will keep prodding them along until we know for sure the product is available. We apologise for this inconvenience.
