MDL stands for model. It goes in the "/model" folder. :ernaehrung004:

I went with the Corsair H100i as well. It's a bit scary the first time you power her up with no "for sure running" fan on the CPU but it does work. She runs very cool and really really quiet (especially now since I swapped out the stock radiator fans for a pair of Quiet SP120s. :ernaehrung004:

You take it correctly -- so obviously make backups and/or leave breadcrumbs so you can make your way back if you don't like the changes or something breaks. Shared mods over the years is what has made this community as strong as it is. Good stuff. Thanks Bjoern. :ernaehrung004:

Having both BMP and DDS files of the same name in the same folder results in that area being black on the aircraft. If they all have different names then it is probably just a matter of the BMP's having their origin in FS9 and haven't been converted to DDS for FSX yet. Having them all be DDS will improve performance some. :ernaehrung004:

Looks like there was an update a while after release that really did a lot to improve it. That is now incorporated in the download. You can still download the update -- found it when looking for the paintkit. It still doesn't want to sit still without the parking brake on and I had to use the air brake to get her to sit down and stay down when landing. I had introduced some flap out of habit on approach so maybe that was more my doing. And there is a lot of leaning when going around corners. From reading this thread from the beginning I don't see that anyone complained about that at the time. :ernaehrung004:

Big dang paint kit to download. So did some browsing while waiting and found a lot of repaints over at simviation.com using the search term "eurofighter" or "typhoon". :ernaehrung004:

Saw this one was on sale so started looking for reviews. Not finding much out there I wasn't sure. Don't know why I bothered looking anywhere but here in the first place. This thread gives a good coverage of the initial responses and how Just Flight listened and made it better. At this price I'm all in! :ernaehrung004:

That was the first thing I noticed was the two "014" so close together. I'd remove it from the tail so you have more orange for visibility. :ernaehrung004:

You should always build your own. It's fun, the cost can be much reduced over a boxed PC, and you have control over all parts. Plus everything only fits one way and there are tons of videos on youtube showing you how if you've never done it before. I do this every few years since my first one back in 1988. The specs on papab's system above look good but I would get one more Gig memory on the video card and for FSX you won't use more than 4Gig RAM. So go with 8 rather than 16 and apply that money towards the video card upgrade. Just my opinion. :ernaehrung004:

I bought the package when it was under half price earlier this year via JustFlight and this recent sale prompted me to finally install it. Always a favorite and after one flight I know I'll be flying it a lot. Looking forward to checking out your mods as well Bjoern. :ernaehrung004:

Now available from Justflight!! http://www.justflight.com/product/iris-pro-training-series-pilatus-pc9a-for-fsx Our vision with the IRIS Pro Training Series Pilatus PC-9/A was to create a desktop simulation product which could potentially be used as a real-world training aid. With access to an abundance of public information, we have been able to realise this vision and produce our most complex and rewarding aircraft to date. The IRIS Pro Training Series Pilatus PC-9/A has been modelled after A23-52, an airframe specific to the Royal Australian Air Force Aerobatic Team, 'The Roulettes', and whilst a number of alternate paint schemes from which to choose have been provided, we have remained faithful to the the cockpit of A23-52 and its integrated systems. So, whether your...
