Very nice work. Good delta landing technique. :encouragement: Too bad we don't have a newer F1 to fill the gap between the III/5 and 2000. :ernaehrung004:

P3D started out slow also but is now the go to place here for that version. FSX-SE will be that same given a couple more months. Might be better to start early while the threads can still be identified. Funny though to watch the new FSX-SE users at Steam posturing to be the guru in their forum. :ernaehrung004:

A little more friendly (I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I hate links that immediately start a download to my machine): You must have been reading my mind this weekend Zsolt. I was thinking a bare metal and camo Mirage IIICJ would be nice. And #59 to boot. Thank you! :ernaehrung004:

I followed this thread the first few days but haven't had a chance lately so please bear with this question. If it has been answered please point me to the answer. So, if you already have FSX (assume Acceleration but figure at least SP2) installed and then install the Steam version as well then the Steam version would go under "Program Files/Steam/Steam Apps/common/...". Correct? And if you do not have the Microsoft version of FSX already installed I would expect the Steam version to do the same as above but I think I've heard that it goes under "Program Files/Microsoft Games/...". That doesn't make any sense to me but would appreciate it is someone can verify either way. Thanks in advance. :ernaehrung004:

Unless you are a developer making money from something you develop for use in P3D you should be fine with the academic license. If you ran an anonymous pole here I expect you would find that somewhere near 99% of non-developer users have the academic version. :ernaehrung004:

Flightsim search results are not static so that link will really only work once (when you made the original search). Best to just tell folks what your search phrase was to get the results. :ernaehrung004:

I really like Citations. Pretty much has been my favorite bizjet in Flightsim since probably FS98. But I've got Bill's Learjet in the hanger that isn't even a month old. I'll wait a while before seriously considering the new Citation II. :ernaehrung004:

I got it for about $18 during the Christmas sale. Even at $29 it's a bargain for the quality you get. :ernaehrung004:

I like it as is but here's a video that has pretty good roll rate demo in opening seconds and at 1:10. And he's carrying tanks (not necessarily any fuel out there though since he lands shortly afterwards). :ernaehrung004:

The only aircraft I have not been able to run in Win8 are those that use a particular anti-piracy scheme. These are the ALS-SIM Flanker, the SkySim Mirage III/5 (both by Mark Harper), the Virtavia B-1B and CH-47 and maybe one more from Virtavia but I don't recall what now. These all use the same anti-piracy scheme and all worked in FSX with a key. Win8 is just too anal I guess. Only the Flanker uses the Flight1 installer so that is not the issue here. :ernaehrung004:

I noticed another up there this morning. It is painted as J-2201, the one and only Mirage IIIC operated by the Swiss Air Force. It was used to evaluate the type before the contract was signed. All of the others were license-built Mirage IIIS. :ernaehrung004:

Well, it would be a no-brainer if the two zip files had been named to exactly match the folder names created by the Virtavia installation. After you download them rename them before unzipping... Rename "" to be "Virtavia A-4 Skyhawk 0-1". Rename "" to be "Virtavia A-4 Skyhawk 2-3". Then when you unzip them that will create the correct folder names. Those two folders can then be dropped into the "FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes" folder. Say "ok" when prompted to overwrite.

Exactly. Thank you saying that. There are far too many variables to put it all on the developer/distributor to make it work. That said, user's sharing what worked for them with others in these forums is a big help to all. :ernaehrung004:
