That was the same type of chair on my Obutto Gaming seat, but my back hurt from sitting in it. I just could not get comfortable, unfortunately. NC

Over the years, I have gone through several types of chairs. I've gone the route of buying the cheapest office chair at Walmart...to a fancy simchair setup. My experience is, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. VERY comfortable for my back. Not to say it would be for yours. AND the armrests are the perfect height.

With regards to the mouse cursor on the X52......is there a chance that it could be causing my PC mouse cursor to move on its own across my screen? And if so, how do I disable it? Thanks. NC

Definitely a challenge, landing on the "O". I tried three times, unsuccessfully last night. A-4 and T-28. Came close with the Trojan, but landed too fast, and ended up swimming..... NC

I have to say that nothing surprises me nowadays. When looked at everything in its entirety, this culture of ours has changed so much from what I grew up to believe is just and true. Seriously, it's as if everything I was taught to be wrong is now considered acceptable. Anyone else feel this way? It is maddening. I try not to let things like this get to me, but it's not easy. I started taking flight lessons in 2004. After my second lesson, I learned the IRS was going to take more money than expected that year, so I had to give up the PPL idea. That is when I decided that flight simulation was the wisest and CHEAPEST course! I love it! NC

I did read the reviews about it. The aircraft themselves are beautiful; no disputing that. If I want to install the Skyhawk into P3D as well, is it just a matter of copying directories over to P3D? When I initiate the installer again, it is asking me if I want to Repair or Remove.... NC

Arno's Model Converter software was mentioned in an earlier post I'd read. This is a good example why YouTube video tutorials are helpful. Am off to see if there might be one? NC Update: Just checked. Saw at least one that is applicable. If I can figure this out (a true challenge!) it would be awesome. So many cool objects that could be used. I had the privilege of several backseat rides in NATC TA-4s in the early 70s. Sooo much fun! Oftimes the pilot, usually USMC, would try to get me sick. Not happening. The more barrel rolls, high speed turns, flips, etc... they would execute, the more fun it was!! Working on the Skyhawk was simple, easy. When I went through maintenance training at Millington, TN, the Skyhawk was what we learned on. Egress AND Environmental systems were basic. Dependable too. I compare sitting/riding in the Skyhawk cockpit to the comfortable feeling of wearing a snuggly fitted glove. Definitely NOT an aircraft for a portly-built pilot! I think my most memorable ride was a hop, flying dogfight maneuvers with another USNTPS (US Navy Test Pilot School) aircraft. Ok, now perhaps a dumb question. Is it possible to utilize these models as static? I know how to place static models, and there is a static Corsair model available (Guy Diotte), but there's only a couple paints. These AI models have many more squadrons represented. And if an AI model can be placed as static, is the FPS hit less than a model designed to be static? NC

Is that available for download? Free or Payware? NC

A ancedote about working on Crusaders. My first duty station was at Patuxent River in the early 70s, one Crusader was assigned to the unit (North Site Maintenance). The Egress system on the Crusader was a real challenge, mainly because of the way it was bolted to the rails in the cockpit. The Martin-Baker seat had two trunion bolts. The top one was easy enough to access for removal; but the lower one was a different story altogether. The bulkhead was so close to the bolt head, that a modified, shaved-down socket was the ONLY way to remove it. Believe me when I tell you it was not easy to remove that bolt. You had to use a drift punch, and pound it out. There wasn't much room to swing a hammer, either! My supervisor was always in a bad mood when the 210 Day inspection came due on the Crusader.......NC

The newer hangars on the south end of the field were built in the late 80s, when the squadrons were transitioning to Hornets. Additionally, one other large hangar was constructed (next to the VA-174 hangar, for VFA-106, which was recommissioned in 1984. NC

Ian, Where/how'd you get the static Corsair IIs on deck? NC

I have fun, using Instant Scenery to make modifications (such as adding static aircraft, bldgs, etc...). Of course there's a price to pay with lower FPS. Years ago, when I had this scenery installed in FS9, John Stinstrom had added a Old Dominion Freight lines truck. All you Navy types who have gone on deployments will remember the trucks used to carry all the squadron gear to the ship for onload. I had the Old Dominion truck parked in the hangar.....NC
