    Another finding...the systems file portion of the aircraft xdp also references effects files.     Welcome back AA, it's been so long I was scratching my memory until you mentioned the P-55 and then it came back. Online gamers can be found at sim-outhouse.net and you'll need to register there. If you don't already have it, AvHistory did a 1% flight model of the P-55 which is in the SOH library. I'm sure the online flyers will give you a hot welcome. :a1089:

    Welcome back. :wavey: Yes CFS3 has come a long way both in content and graphics (with many thanks to AnKor for the latter). I'm impressed by your enthusiasm but these days the community is small and of them only a handful are modding and up to their eyeballs in projects already. I dare say that if you want to move ahead with any of your old models you're going to have to roll your sleeves up and do it yourself! :0) Good luck!

    Oh boy, I'm getting old. You need the sdk installed and the link Pat Pattle gave above to the sticky thread is about the only place you'll get it now. Download and run it and you'll get the plug-in and shortcut I was thinking of. md3exp.dle is the Quake plug-in used with LithUnwrap, doh! You think this is impenetrable, don't start FSX modelling...!

    Yes, this is how I do, I don't think there is any other option. Copy the airfield coordinates from the global_layer.csv file and copy them into the mission file. Don't change anything to the existing spawns, ther may be some wrong effect in several missions. If you want to use an existing spawn script, creat a new file, copy-paste the script into it and then, you can modify it as you wish wtihout effect on any existing mission.

    And it's an awful long time since I installed this... In the same place you found md3exp.dle there should be a shortcut to launch Gmax with the CFS3 sdk. According to the Words supplied with the sdk this will give you the option to export to CFS3. Failing which, copy any file with the extension .dle from that location to ...gmax/plugins folder and fire up Gmax as normal. I think that's what I did many moons ago. edit: you also need cfsexp.dle in the Gmax plugins folder

    I am not a Heli type as I enjoy flying the GA type of aircraft but this is interesting. Actually it looks FUN! especially if you have a heli simpit to go with it. I have read the thread but have not used it myself. X-slingload is a plugin being developed by barbarossa (sorry I do not know his real name) over at X-plane.org. It is in testing and development but things are looking positive.     Not quite, Borek: the CFS3 model swaps the cockpit section with the VC section when you're flying from the cockpit. Equally, the gunner/bomb aimer sections are swapped in when they're needed but the main aircraft model is always being used. CFS3 is something of a halfway house between FS9 and FSX in this regard, although different in other ways. Robert, you need md3exp.dle in Gmax's plugins directory. Then it'll work.

    I also am having a problem with the music swapper not working in ETO1.5 win7 64. I followed Grizzly50 procedure to the letter ,I also tried reinstalling the era music swapper batch file with the exect provided, I also made shure I had all of the required files and made shure they worked. The game works well execpt for the sound not swapping when I change eras, I think I am getting the alternate era sound file not the 1939 version Is there a way to jumpstart the era music swapper? Can it be corrupted? Should I do a reload of ETO?
