Could be Hamps but give the number of them made was small (350 or so) The Hamps really weren't well suited to the Solomon with the loss of around 1,000 km (620 mi) in range so I would have thought by than most would have been out of service by than. Flight to Balalae (not in CFS2) from Vunakanau is only 510 km. Hamps could make the flight just fine.

My searching says they where the unsquare wings Model-22s. The A6M3-32 "Hamp" didn't have the range of the early A6M2 thanks to a smaller tank and less lift from the clipped wings. The A6M3-22s had the range prob fixed by adding more fuel.

To do your own painting your going to need a program better than MS Paint. GIMP is free and I'm sure some others free ones are around. Go to The Paint Shop_Skinnin' Your Game! part of the fourm http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/forumdisplay.php?23-The-Paint-Shop_Skinnin-Your-Game! One of the sticky threads have a list of free and pay paint programs. Next you will need DXTbmp. http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm This is need to save the texture in formats that CFS2 can use. Also having imagetool.exe by MS isn't a bad idea. I don't have a good understaing of imagetool.exe but sometimes I use it to save BMPs that don't look right when saved with dxtbmp.

Thats what I thought but since you mailed him/her I was just making sure. I got the FS2004 model just about rebuild in gMax. I was able to dump 6,782 polyons from the model. That is just about 2 F4F-4 Wildcats at full detal. I removed the drop tanks, remove the yokes and other thing from the cockpit as they can't be see from the outside anyway. Changed to more basic props and did some more simple tires. I do need to know if you want breaking parts and damage texture logic to be used. I already have the model set up for breaking tail and wing and wing tips. I haven't got to messing with the texture yet as that may take some time to do. Starting on the first LOD....

I was looking around for seeing how the wing pontoons looked and I ran across a updated verson that Greg Pepper did for FS2004. Wow much better looking over all. http://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=hu16v2.zip&fileId=14903 Could you mail about this model?

I'm thinking it will need some work as the under wing floats are not textured. They are only material colored.

Are you going to be able to use the model "as is" or will it need an update?

The higher the poygon count the more power your PC need to display the model. Multi LOD means that the MDL has more than 1 model. The game will change to a more simple model with less detail as the aircraft/object is farther away from the player. The player probly won't see that the model has changed unless they are looking right at it when it changes. By using LODs you can put many aircraft/object on the screen with out the game becoming a slide show. F4F4 LODs. This a gif so you may need to click on it. The rules I use for making aircraft are no single engine aircraft should be above 5,000 poygons for the full detail/close up model and each LOD should have a polygon count drop of 25% or more. For a fighter the LODs should be LOD 100 (full detail) 5,000 poygons, LOD 75 3,750...

I'm going to point to simviation but to a non TR aircraft. A FS2002 HU-16 Albatross Greg Pepper dosn't look too bad on the surface. http://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=hu162k2.zip&fileId=15346 Model Convert X say it is not multi LOD and the poygon count is 8,421 (not a bad count for FS2002 and only about 1,000 than the stock CFS2 B-24Ds main LOD). Has a working VC. Read me seem to say that a rework or full rebuild should okay. It has mail addy so we can try to mail him/her and make sure that rework or full rebuild would be okay.

I included a .psd of the texture for OD and sliver that can be made blank for repainting. Just aboud any paint program above MS paint shop can open .psd. The included sliver P-38J "Down Beat" was used by Bong once. I purposely avoided doing the "Marge" texture as EVERY P-38J seem to have that texture.

Was hoping Rami would pop in here but the read me seem to say that it is okay. From Readme_E.txt Please do not include this archive in any commercial or non commercial packages without my permission. Since my fix is not package it seem that it would be fine to upload. The attached DPED.exe is from the DPED Version 1.2 as it says in the Readme_E.txt. make sure to back up your current DPED.exe just to be safe.

I wasn't aware that cfs3 model could be converted. Last time I looked nothing could read them other than CFS3.

Try the flight dynamics of these models. Use them to replace what you have.

You didn't answer my question in my first reply. I asked what is it you're trying to achieve? Besides the Ta-152 having a higher service ceiling, how else do you distinguish between the flight dynamics of the two aircraft? What's the difference in your view?

You'll have to be more specific. Besides the Ta-152 having a higher service ceiling, what other characteristics distinguished the flight dynamics of a Ta-152 from that of the Fw-190?

Airfiles are not my department I guess. Sorry. When I cant find an AIR file for a similar AC, I usually ask Bearcat241 for assistance. He's an expert.

you still looking for a converted WoP Ta 152 ? I don't remember who converted the MDL for me, but I have the complete aircraft.
