I wouldn't be suprised but I can't find any info that Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical ever worked on any parts for the MD-11 or MD-80 with a quick google.

If you Win7 or newer never put CFS2 in ANY Program Files. Put it into C:

The family buys storage units as fun. It not like on TV so we don't buy too many. This one looks to have a small slice of aviation history in it. A tool box that was used at Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical. The seem to say that they guy was working on the AH-64 Apache at one time. Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical made fuselages, wings, tail, engine cowlings, canopies and avionics containers tell the 90s. I posted some pics below.

So it looks like all of the needed aircraft.cfg keys are in CFS3. L_wingfold and R_wingfold are the names you give parts in gMax so CFS2 knows to move the parts when you fold the wings. tailhook is the name you gibe the tail hook in gMax so CFS2 knows to move the part when you drop or retract the hook. The *_wingfold and tailhook are user animated in gMax. As for the carriers. CFS2 has a ship folder and it is set up a lot like aircraft. Each ship has model, panel, sound and texture folder. Ships have a ship.cfg. The ship.cfg has the code for the "harden"/landable decks and cables for the tailhook to snag. I'll attach the stock CFS2 Enterprise. carrier_based is also in CFS2/one of it components and is listed with the keys but seem to have no effect. So are some keys that I...

The above are from CFS2 and go into the aircraft.cfg Note that in CFS2 wing_fold_system_type is used. Looks like CFS3 added "ing". Below is the full set of keys related to them. tailhook_length=4 ;(feet) tailhook_position = -23.6, 0.0, -1.0 ;(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum cable_force_adjust = 1.0 wing_fold_system_type = 0 ;0=None (CFS2 key name) wing_folding_system_type = 0 ;0=None (CFS3 key name)

The monitor could be physically set to normal 4:3 but the PC is still using wide screen. In the Control Panel go to Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution. Click the drop-down list next to Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want. See if you can use 1024x768 or 1280x960. Any thing that is 4:3 Monitor Resolution should work fine with CFS2.

With wide screen it is prob not a good idea to be running in full screen mode as CFS2 was never ment to be ran that way. Best stick to Windows mode or set CFS2 to run with a more square setting like 1024x768

It may not be a bad idea to use Process Explorer to export the CFS3.exe strings in a list and do the same for any thing the the CFS3.exe is using. I did this for CFS2 with the .exes, modules folder and sim1.sim file.

I wasn't aware that cfs3 model could be converted. Last time I looked nothing could read them other than CFS3.

Try the flight dynamics of these models. Use them to replace what you have.

You didn't answer my question in my first reply. I asked what is it you're trying to achieve? Besides the Ta-152 having a higher service ceiling, how else do you distinguish between the flight dynamics of the two aircraft? What's the difference in your view?

You'll have to be more specific. Besides the Ta-152 having a higher service ceiling, what other characteristics distinguished the flight dynamics of a Ta-152 from that of the Fw-190?

Airfiles are not my department I guess. Sorry. When I cant find an AIR file for a similar AC, I usually ask Bearcat241 for assistance. He's an expert.
