I watched the music video for "Clouds" and the documentary, but I still wanted to know more. I checked out his Caring Bridge page. You can see everything there, from his diagnosis, treatments, his music career, to when he passed away. It is surreal in many ways. It makes me appreciate my life even more. I never heard of him before a few days ago but he made an impact on my life and has started to change my outlook on death. A coworker's son was diagnosed with Leukemia in February this year. Zach's story gave me some insight into what my coworker must be dealing with. I hope their story ends differently. I am thankful cancer doesn't really run in either of my parents' families. It seems a whole lot of people are affected by it nowadays. RIP Zach. The world needs more people like you. :engel016:

Hey guys, Achim has updated his Norwegian airfields, and many of them now blend in very well with the surrounding scenery. The airfields at Vaernes and Fornebu now have expanded runways, allowing for easier takeoffs with Heinkels, Dreifingers, and Kondors. Also included are revised airfields in Iceland, at Keflavik and a brand-new base at Reykjavik! Thank you to Achim for these, and I moved them to the top of the pile for you!

KPGA Flight Time: 00:55:57 Race Time: 00:55:57 Fuel Consumed: 155 LBS Fun flight. I was on the 022 radial into KPGA, which is the direct course from KCNY. But soon there appeared giant mountains along that path, so I made the VOR gauge steer me into KPGA on the 025 radial, which got me a bit south east of the direct track, and missed the big hills. Starting to "get" how to use VOR. Very cool. http://fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?detail=flight&value=m1WJaIBIh37fgCfVgh7kY7P68IU

"Susie" didn't know the victim, but she stood by him until he was found. "Susie" after the May 20th tornado. (Moore, Oklahoma) May 22, 2013 the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) reunited a dog found in the rubble of a tornado destroyed house with it's rightful owner. May 20, 2013 after a tornado ripped through the City of Moore an OCSO deputy searching for victims found a 12-year old Schipperke-Border Collie mix standing guard over a deceased male inside a house in Moore. The deputy convinced the dog to leave the side of the deceased victim, and eventually made sure the pup was taken to an emergency tornado animal shelter. The OCSO posted the picture of the dog named "Susie" on our social media sites May 20th, and the picture went viral with millions of people looking at the picture.

Hey guys, I'm having an unusual problem, and need some help. In Tobob's LaRochelle scenery, there is a scenery object called "tb_warf." When I'm using this object at Bordeaux, because space is tight, it is not generating a .cdp file when I try to fly a mission to check its placement. Because no .cdp file is generated, the mission will not load. If I remove that piece, the scenery loads fine. This is the scenery package: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=45&id=4071 Does anyone know what the problem is, and/or how to fix it? :isadizzy:

Discus, We have a winner! :salute: I actually had to place the U-boat pen just across the harbor from its actual location...because the amount of land available was not enough to place the U-boat pen correctly. I also used the other space to built a pretty large port...on the scale of Southampton. Luckily, almost the entire area was flat, so it made building relatively easy. Also on the slate are Bordeaux, and St. Nazaire.

Paul, Just in case, like if you just reloaded FSX or got a new computer, make sure you have the SP1 and SP2 updates. This might be an issue concerning that. What I think is happening is that for some reason, the ship is up out of water, and it has a airport mated to the deck, so the land is coming up to the deck like it would if it were lover land, like a bad place runway that has the wrong surface altitude with the lay of the land. I'll bet Arno could figure this out quick.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - British Description: Update of Bismarck13's Bristol Bombay I took Bismarck13's (William Dickens) Bombay and simply did some refining to it. I created new skins with panel lines..basic servicable panel lines, nothing super sharp or detailed...just enough to give the plane some character. I revamped the DP file, using the Ground Crew British Weapons pack. There are 4 skins in this pack. The first is just a revamp of the original desert scheme that came with the plane. The second is a desert scheme Air Ambulance. Third is a Cargo variant in overall RAF Dark Green. Lastly is a Dark Green and Medium Sea Gray camo scheme...not accurate but looks nice. The Air Ambulance Skin: I attempted to recreate the Bombay in the markings of No1 Air Ambulance Unit, RAAF, based on an image sent to me by Hewman. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so in a manner that satisfied me. The Red Cross insignia on the sides of the fuselage should have No 1 Air Ambulance Unit RAAF in a semi-circle on the top half of the insignia...I was not able to produce that lettering in a curve with any of the software I have...or at least not with results that were good enough to use..they tended to be blurry and uneven. Secondly, the real RAAF Air Ambulance had the Red Cross insignia wrapped across the bottom of the fuselage..again, the results from many attempts to achieve this were less than stellar..very blurred, very streaky. So, I opted to include my first rendition of an Air Ambulance....it may not be totally accurate, but it looks good. And I think most simmers would rather have a good looking plane that is not quite on par with history than to have a historical skin that looks like crap. ________________________ A great big thank you to Bismarck for creating this fine aircraft. While it is not a super significant aircraft in terms of usage during WW2, it is a nice addition to the CFS2 line up of avaiable aircraft. Bismarck has produced many many aircraft that fit in this mold...planes that history and most model makers have over looked. Thanks also to Peperez and Hewman for supplying info on the colors and markings used on the Bombay. Thanks to the folks at Ground Crew for making and sharing their incredible British weapons pack. Very nicely modeled bombs in that pack. ________________________ Please refer to the original read me file by Bismarck13 (William Dickens). This is his work, and his rules aplly above all others. For my part...these skins are free ware. Feel free to tweak them to your own liking. Heck, if you want I will be glad to share my paint template if you want to repaint the plane in a way of your choosing...just shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you the Photoshop 5.0 files (can be used in Paintshop Pro as well). _________________________ Use these files at your own risk. Any loss or damage that may arise from the use of these files is...

Guess I shouldn't worry so much... FS9 is at 21.1 Gb FSX is at 65.4 Gb I try to control sizes by moving aircraft (and some scenery) folders to an external HD if and when I feel I don't fly them, thereby leaving the favorite aircraft in the sim. So there is an additional 150.0 Gb for FS9 and 8.6 Gb for FSX of inactive aircraft, manuals, paint kits, etc. on an external drive. This does not include the full copies of each sim on other portable drives used as backups in case of a reinstall, etc.

Hey guys, I know it's a little unusual for me to be asking this type of question...but sources for what I'm researching are extremely limited, and I thought y'all might be able to point me in the right direction. Whilst I am in the midst of working on a few projects, my scattershot mind is starting another one, and I'm struggling to find good sources. I am looking for information on the 20th Fighter Group...the primary operators of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning in the ETO until July of 1944, when they switched to the P-51. 1) They were based at RAF Kings Cliffe. 2) They flew a long-range escort mission to Bordeaux, France at the end of 1943.
