I tried looking at the model. I have no idea what is going on. I do know it was made using FSDS 98 so it may be too old to be fixed. I also can't port it into Model Converter X.

Coral Sea/Midway really needs a redo... our (Bruce Baker as well) effort for CFS2 really does not do FSX justice as we were working with a poly budget under 10K. Let me see what I have in drydock or I can find plans on so we can do them right for FSX. Very nice work with Oriskany! I had been working on the island but was not happy with my hull to put a 27C class out.

Misson I have a U.S. Robotics 56k Faxmodem V.92. Is this what you used and if Yes how did you get it to work with this new fangled Internet set up? Anyone else As I told Misson. You send me a Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time and I'll set up and you can look for me. For me to join Mission I had to disable my Windows Firewall. My XP dosn't have a Antivirus but you should also disable any Antivirus as well. In the Control Panel is the Windows Firewall. On XP once youn open Windows Firewall you will be at the place need to shut off the Windows Firewall. On Win 7 once Windows Firewall is open on the top left is "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" Click on this than you will be at the place needed to shut of the 2 Win 7. Disable both the Home or work (private) and a Public Firewalls. Most Antivirus all you need to do is find it on the lower right and right click on it. There should Disable or Pause option.

At the moment I have a WIP of an RAAF Ranger powered Fairchild 24. The RAAF had impressed 4 F-24s during WWII. 3 Ranger powered and 1 Warner powered. The one I am working on actually carried its VH-ACW registration for the duration of its RAAF service. As I am working from a B&W photo I am not really certain but looking at it the main scheme appears to be Foliage Green. Australia used Azure Blue for the under surfaces. While I am retired and 'supposedly' have a lot of free time at the moment I am cleaning out the house (getting rid of a lot of that stuff 'I might need later' that has accumulated over the last 25 years) so I only have time at night to do any painting. At this rate I hope to have this one ready for the weekend. I have also googled up several other Aussie Fairchild 24s, both Ranger and Warner powered. And DoubleCool I have saved some of those you have put up and will attempt to get those out as well.

NC, I found in my radio shed a nice antenna, about 40" with a coil around base going up to tip, it would make a great antenna with a tuner with your old radio. You can have it but you either need to pick it up in st pete or pay shipping. if you make the trip to my loocal, I will show you some real radio gear. Like my 2990 base and my 2970 mobile, and some really great antennas and ideals and how to use your new gear. Bring your radio and I will make you the jumper you will need.

Thanks, Bill. Good stuff. The challenges (and learning curve) are coming from adding textures and porting over some aircraft from FS9. I'm learning that when textures are added to FSX aircraft, not all the readme.txt entries are consistent which in turn caused the issue I first posted. Same goes for some port-over aircraft from FS9 as the FS9 aircraft.cfg goes by different rules.

It will also include new liveries, a re-visited FDE for the purpose of racing, and the integration of the real engine module." Due to recent loss of his Dad, project has set him back but is resuming completion of this project. I am assuming it will be posted here on SOH when ready.

I think I remember that thread too. It wasn't about adding interior model parts - it was more about getting parts coded to be viewed from the exterior to also be viewed while in VC view. You would essentially have a very low resolution static VC. Unfortunately, I can't find that thread either.

Well, the only thing I can recommend now is to refund you. If you want to hang on a few days, I might have a fix, but for now, the only thing I can do is a refund. Milton is having the same issue. Plane is totally invisible and for no apparent reason. Just to recap; * FSUIPC should be up to date * The installer 'must' be installed directly into the FS folder. IT cannot (cannot) be opened in a subfolder or 'new folder' or other drive. It 'must' be opened into the sim or this will happen.

Yes, that's true. My solution to that, because I have all of his scenery packages installed, is to have a common folder called "Tobob land and watermasks" for those files, and then have the "TB_xxxxx" folders separately. Yes, as you correctly fixed. I correctly anticipated, because the layout box is about six miles in rectangle form, that it would be a multi-gob GSL file. Before using GSLedit, I ran it through Gob checker, which split the layout into three parts. I hadn't done that yet with the layout file because I wanted some input and feedback from Kelticheart, and now Jagdflieger, and if possible, Xavierb.

Stefano, I am well, though I had a meeting before the school board recently because some parents didn't like the content I was teaching. (The Banana wars, Sanford Dole and US economic interests Vs Hawaii, US occupation of Haiti, putting the Shah in power, Eisenhower sending the Marines into Lebanon, etc.) Because I was not espousing my own beliefs on the students and was well entrenched in the facts, the school board, the teacher's union, and the school principal backed me 100%. Mom's also been reasonably stable in dialysis, so that's a plus. And, my eldest daughter is going to be five soon! Yikes, huh? I am attaching a beta testing package here for you. I don't think you'll have problems with this, but you need the scenery for the layout to work properly. I included a couple of modified files I use that were given to me by Robert John at my request. Let me know if you can't find anything, or if something looks funny!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Utilities Add-ons Description: These files and Tutorial is designed for objects made in FS Design Studio 2 at real world scale. All objects in CFS2 are at world scale (or close) although it may not look like it from the cockpit of your plane sometimes. The Tutorial will guide on exporting your object out of FS Design Studio 2 and use of Model Converter X. Than use of Make my object.bat to make your object into an exploding object! To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit CFS2 exploding object using FSDS 2 and Model Converter X.zip The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Hey RedDog, The DLL files need to stay there in the F24 folders. We could not have a uninstaller as it would leave some planes without certain functions as they share components of this plane. How about redownloading the Installer and running it again. Being that its 500+ megs, perhaps it has a birp in it and is corrupt. It does happen. If that doesn't do it, then we may have to do a refund.

Have no fear about the NSA unless you actually have something to hide. There is no problem with the Academic version (I have it). You just buy it and download it, about 14GB worth, and install it and go flying. The CH products work with P3D but you need to do a couple of thing to get them working. When you get P3D just send me a PM and I will explain the procedure. TrackIR has an upgrade on the NaturalPoint website. If you need help just send me a PM and I can see if I can help.

Yep, I know I won't always have the ability to get up close photos of every building I will do, but it sure is nice to be this close to the airport and have the chance to go there and get new photos whenever I need them. I guess the two things I'm working through right now are getting the textures onto as few sheets as possible (right now, every texture is separate) and "where do I stop" with the custom buildings and rely on default or other objects to fill in, lol.
