I should re state this..I will have a XDP that will correspond with ETO 1.40.. This way it will limit the need for additional files to be installed. That is My hope at this point for the Hampden.. I can include a Modded XDP for those who have a advanced ETO 1.40 set up.. Trying to make this as "Stock" to what a Hampden would carry, inline with our ETO 1.40 expansion. With a Honest Airfile also inline with what a Hampden would fly like in our beloved CFS3 set ups..

I cant offer a good answer on why Afghanistan isn't buying with there money. However on the purchase of Russian Helo's I can somewhat. Most if not all of Afghanistan's Pilots and crews are trained on Russian Equipment. If US made Helo's were bought and sent , the cost goes way up. You would have re train Crews and pilots and that will almost increase and excel the cost and extend the afghan mission. By going to Russian made you wont encounter that increase cost of training and also Russian Helo's are cheap. So in a way US Tax Payers are actually saving by going the Russian Route on Helo's for Afghanistan. Just my train of thought on this.

update: getting a curvature/distortion left and right edges of monitor that diminish in flight (or I just get used to it).........landings appear to be faster, visually. Could be my 27" monitor. FPS excellent (30 ++), occasional "stutter" has disappeared.

In the Mission builder. When you chose your aircraft, you can also chose the load out.. Bombs, Rockets or whatever you need. Also in the mission builder you can chose the type of mission Strike, Intercept, or whatever you need. Open with note pad/or word. Because AICarriers2 has not kept up with the latest versions of Java I would recommend not installing it and trying to correct Java to work with it. You will end up with more problems then its worth. You can still have AI carriers in a couple of ways. The easiest would be to install Javier's carriers ( if you don't already have them) and "Carrier Tracks 1 and 2" available at Avsim. You can also with a little bit of work (not much) create your own AI carrier tracks with AIBTC (AI Boat Traffic Compiler). I do this myself and you can use any landable CV in your SimObjects\Boats folder. All these programs and models are freeware. You can opt for VRS's TacPack which does the same thing as AICarriers2 but it is not free. All these options avoid Java and in my book that is a good thing.

I was fartin' around tonite in the Pilot Shop ( bored with a little money to burn ) and came across sumthin' called "Xtreme P3D Booster". I'm pretty happy with P3D, but decided to give this "booster" thing a try. HOLY GUACAMOLE !!! I've only flown once with it so far, but my frame rates have at least doubled in all areas. Only an hour on it tonite ( mountains and Vancouver ) so further experimentation is needed............but I am impressed so far. LD
