JoeW replied to a thread Sign number 2 in FSX General Discussion
I was a sign painter for Coca-Cola in my teen days. #1 rule in sign painting is: Don't write a letter on a postage stamp. Can't read it. By the same token, imagine that your doing 70 mph on the highway, Paint the sign so you can read it at that speed. Looks great Trucker.

JoeW replied to a thread Qf-16 in The NewsHawks
In the 70's I worked for architects in Northwest Florida that had a number of government contracts. The comment about this being just done is in error. I saw all dayglow red F-16's at Tyndall and was told not to look at them. The officer with me was to take photo's if I needed them. I had the camera but could not take pictures, that was for him to do. They had several mobile homes that housed the computers and the desks for the pilots. Their hotshot was a paraplegic in a wheel chair. It was my understanding that this equipment was used to train Top Guns. I was NOT to talk about it to anyone. I never said anything until today. If it's on a computer, it's no longer a secret. I designed them some buildings that were more substantial than the mobile homes they were using.

Unplug the stick and plug it into another socket. Sometimes you may bump the plug and bend the socket a bit. A small screwdriver, if it's too big will bring it back to proper shape.

JoeW replied to a thread Panel Lights in DX10
jetblst, We are talking about the Carenado's Cessna 185 bush, the amphib version to be more specific. The panel lights do not light anything. The overhead light does light the panel and everything else. With the shadowing the panel sometimes become unreadable because it's so dark. The panel is lit by a flood light in the top left of the cockpit. A mouseover shows that the panel light is either on or off but there is no difference when turned on. I am using DX10 with Steves Fixit and can't get it to work.

Roger, In the top left of the cockpit is a flood light. You can click on it and it says that it's either on or off, depending. The red light that does come on is in the ceiling and there is a switch for it that works if you click it. The flood in the top left is the one that doesn't work. Thanks for the help even though it it didn't "cure" it.

I have Carenado's Cessna 185 bush. and the panel lights on it doesn't work, I have Steve's Fixit also. Maybe I didn't read the manual for the "Fixit" very close. I have cockpit shadows but the panel lights don't work.

Chris . I lost all email addresses when I moved from on HD to another. Please send me an email and let me get it again. I'm hoping you weren't in the Cessna that went down yesterday at the bombing range.

    Hi Teasea
I was idly flicking through the map pins over Florida, and couldn't help noticing that most of the pools in your neighbourhood seem to have a a lattice structure over them.
What are they made from generally, and what's the purpose?
