don't know what is happening but friday I woke to pain in my right foot, Sat woke to pain in my right leg under butt, sunday woke at 4 am to PAIN again in right leg, and this morning at 2 AM I woke to PAIN in both legs just below the BUTT and still in right foot. Pain pills make me not notice this but something is wrong. Maybe a pinched nerve? Maybe exercise ? I am calling the DR at the VA this morning.

Each LOD will show in the same place, so evaluating them all together needs another approach. Either export each LOD individually from Gmax as a unique .MDL, or space them out before exporting. I use the spacing method with aircraft models, but they cannot be tagged as LODs for evaluation in-sim or they'll not display all together. Oh, and label each LOD with a visual tag of some sort: I use a coloured sphere. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?87598-GMax-and-LOD-s&p=886931&viewfull=1#post886931

Delete .bdp files in the aircraft folders.

None at all. I have the P3D 1.4 SDK for FSX modelling in 3ds Max and don't need anything else.

The full packs will be online very soon, if not already: Rami is on the case.

There's no issues with using hidden, undocumented features in CFS3: the same has been done in FSX for years. If you want to recode the sim .exe or .dll files, that's against the end user license agreement. I believe OFF and now WOFF has been built around new .dll and other files and they use the original CFS3 files only to start the sim. These rate as add-ons, not modified versions of CFS, which the Lawyers cannot prevent. Recoding the originals is what I mean by "hacking" them. The word carries many connotations, including the one the Press use. http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/H/hacker.html

Implementing hidden features in CFS3? Not a problem from this viewpoint. Hacking CFS3 at source? It's not SOH you'd have to worry about, not really: it's Cease-and-Desist letters from Very Expensive Legal Fellows. Proceed, but with caution.
