    Hey Griz,
Frist, let me thank you for your dedication and great work to the Flight-Sim community. I posted this ? on the CFS3 forum last week, and quite possibly I did not ask it logically or the members did not know what info I am looking for. The last 2 years or so I have been almost exclusively flying WWI Warbirds in OFF P3-Between Heaven and Hell, so I am failrly proficient at adj the air/fuel mix manually. Now that I have time to devote to WWII A/C, I would like to take advantage of the realism modeled into the AVH A/C. With regards to the manual adj of prop RPM---is there much advtange to +/- manually, or let the FM take care of the adj's? I guess I was mistaken that the prop RPM coicieded with the 'vairable pitch' of latter mods. I have the 'realism' set to 100% in the Options panel. If I am gettin too deep in the weeds, please tell me....I do not what to sacrifice my SA for tinkering, and not getting much of a performance benefit.

    Thanks again,
    Barnstom

Hi, Thanks, The "target view" I'm referring to isn't the "player/target" but an actual view of the target. It's a great aid in selecting your next target because you can see what it is. So, for ex. when an A/C pops up , you "tab" through to it via "select next target"; then cycle through the f4 views, and voila; you can see if it's a friendly or not.

Grizzly.... If help is still needed for the "grunt work" on the PTO update.......... Consider this Marine to be a willing and able volunteer..... I have a quick and stable PC, plenty of room for a clean "un-modded" PTO install to work with, and I am confident enough in my ability to navigate the CFS3 files now to get the job done. Besides, I have really been wanting to make a contribution to the community......Lord knows I have gotten my share of help and wonderful addons from it already.....Time to make a contribution to the karma pool.... my email is rikwatts04@yahoo.com let me know if and waht I can do to help.

    Thank you

    Rouge... Rik

Grizzly, you were right. I couldn't see the "forest thru the trees" because the trees were in the way. It turned out it was a simple matter of the (missing airfield) "factor." Once I went to a known airfield, everything worked like a charm.
I do still have one remaining small problem: I can't get some of the new missions. The missions are all in era mission folders but I can't seem to access them. The only thing that I can access, regardless of the era, is 447BG-020145, the Dunkirk missions and the two SCW missions.
The "Battle of France" Missions and the two-47Ns 1944 Night Intercept missions are in the folders but unavailable.
I don't know if this has any bearing on the problem but ever since I installed version 1.0 I have never been able to change the era screen. It apprears as 1944 Battle of the Buldge map. Also, even though I have loaded all three parts of the game it still shows verson 1.0. I overlook this originally because it did not affect the game play, but it may have some bearing on v1.3. Any suggestions? Thank you once again for your generous help.

  10. thanks for the help, have had cfs3 for about a year and a half, and am tired of the computer, I have vista and xp, whichever works best, out of curiosity, because I got a little confused, in IP-IP games, can different OS systems play with eachother?
