    I read through the various posts of this thread, but didn't see mention of a version 1.1, but found this on Flightsim.com:] NC, I usually wait 3-5 days before posting to other sites. Any changes from the original release here at SOH are included. The 1.1 version added a missing gauge and deleted an unused gauge. This and other changes will be included in the maintenance release next week.

    Ikewe, Before starting, ensure that the throttles are at 0%, props full forward, and condition lever around 35-45% (ground idle). The started logic sets the prop blades at flat pitch and holds them there throughout the start procedure. Once both engines have started and settled, only then should you move the throttle levers. The blades will stay flat pitch until you move the throttles beyond 5% or so.

    Just FYI on the sound issue, we have isolated (michaelvader) Papi's thanks to his problem determination help, and found a few other minor issues with sounds. That will be corrected in a maintenance release next week.

    Thank you Tom. There was a lot of talent involved in both models. The project took wings when Firekitten did a very nice paint kit for the radial version. It again was enriched by Manecas and his eye for details and talent for doing those awesome interior textures for the Classic and modern versions. That included some very nice window treatment, radial VC work, wheels, and details spread around with subtlety. Manecas also inspired many improvements that would not have been done otherwise. For the turboprop, Nigel was able to return and contribute heavily to the cockpit textures including some gauge textures, sounds, and exterior paint kit and liveries. Spokes2112 solved a lot of issues for me and made massive improvements in custom animations, new and modified gauges, and...

    Just FYI folks, we got @thefrog working in v2.5 for now. The issue will be corrected in a maintenance release next week along with a few other minor issues. EDIT: I just want to thank WND, falcon409, and thefrog for their help in testing and WND for discovering a working solution.

    That is correct; that was a Snapper screenshot with the location info On. You can disable that for FS as you wish. Just do a web search; it is freeware.

    Papi, Okay, it seems there may be a sound issue. Now we need to isolate which sound file. So, can you go through a binary search to isolate which file causes the issue by: 1) Remove half the sounds to a Hold folder. Test 2) If problem disappears, the issue is in the removed sounds, so put those sounds back in and remove the others. 3) Now, remove half of those sounds and test. Continue to isolate until you are down to 1 file. Of course there is a possibility that a combination of sounds are required to cause the issue. But, when you are down to one file left, remove it and put all the others back in the folder and test again to be sure the problem is gone.

    Papi, Another test. Would you put the Mallard sound file with the S2Tracker to see if the beep remains. This may resolve whether it is aircraft caused or sound caused.

    Thank you Paul K. and @thefrog, that eliminates one possibility for the 2.5 issue. No problem re: release coincidence with the c-47 v3; I knew we both were about to do this but I was ready so bring it on. LOL The more, the merrier.

    Papi, I went through each of the sounds in the sound folder listening carefully and could hear nothing that I thought would sound like the beep you are hearing. Since this problem seem peculiar to your system, would you go through the folder listening to each sound to see if you can identify which file is causing it. That is the only way we can resolve this issue for you. Thank you

    Papi, The oil pressure is linked simply to RPMs, not engine heat. Since you are the only person reporting this kind of issue, I am suspecting an issue with the sound folder or a sound that is not liked by your system.     Eric, You are welcome to try the search light effect I used for the S2F-1, attached, that uses the fx_2.bmp texture. However, a better solution may be to use the fx_beam texture in the effects/texture folder if you can get someone to do the effect coding for you.

    I hope the rest of those interested in the Mallard TP for FSX are not put off by the P3D 2.5 issues we have been talking about. We have no reported FSX issues at this time. We did extensive testing in FSX. Although the Mallard turboprop was not released for P3D, some seem to be running it okay with the expected clickability issues. This 2.5 issue may not be correctable since we have no way of testing in P3D, but I thought I would give it the old college try to try to help.

    I may have answered the question of the Dornier 335. I assumed that the version you listed (FS9 Freeware) was a full version, especially when I saw the size. Since it didn't have anything but textures after all that time downloading. . .I'm now downloading the SimTech version. . .this is probably the base model which the textures were an addition to. This has to be the largest freeware download I've ever done, lol. . .reaching almost 250 meg. lol
