A question? What do you plan to do with your old unit? I upgrade and repair computers and give them to private and Charter schools because they never have enough computers to go around in the labs. I also give computers to single parent families and teach them how to use them absolutely free of charge.

Better yet, I'll give it to you. I probably won't be buying a new one until the new ones from Saitek and Thrustmaster come out in a few months. I was hoping someone could get some use out of this old stick. It is still in pretty good shape except for a few wires that keep breaking inside the stick. I'm just tired of fixing them.

Just saw your post about getting a new joystick. I'm modding my old X45 for a homemade sim-pit. My X45 wiring is ok but the plastic swivel bowl (under the main spring) is scratched all to hell. If you get a new HOTAS would you be willing to sell your old X45 for parts? I hate to pay a bunch for a working one on ebay as all I need is a plastic piece off a busted one.

If not - do you know anyone who has any old junk x45s?
