Thanks for the link Mike. Had seen that name, but thought it was another repaint. Downloading now. Will give it a go over the weekend :jump:

Steering/turning the proper way takes practice, but once you have it down, it's a great experience.

Paints are looking very nice, but I have not been able to find the actual aircraft in the library. What am I missing here?

Yes, that's how you truly learn how to do it. But if you want a head start, here is Michael's tutorial resaved in pdf format. Hope this helps. :ernaehrung004:

Jan, I am loving the "radioluminescent painted gauge dials". Nice to see the progress on the night lighting.

I agree. I only buy during sales. But at a discount it is worth getting especially since the patch. :ernaehrung004:

Team SDB has both SEA camo and silver/white versions of Henry's C-130 in our Bien Hoa scenery.

Try this. Actual photo rather than decal sheet. This one is on the tail of a Mig-12 but the HävLLv 31 (31 Squadron) flies FA-18s now. :ernaehrung004:

I recall taking an online survey once for aptitude to be a pilot. Whether you had other experience or not, if you answered "Yes" for using Flight Simulator your score went down. Apparently they had it in the "game" category rather than "sim". :ernaehrung004:

I just opened the SOH home page for the first time today, and my heard skipped a beat when I saw this (at least I hope it was only one beat). It brings back memories that literally brought tears to me eyes. I watched this graceful lady fly so low over our house that we could actually see the markings clearly. I was only a little kid standing outside our house with my father as the engine sounds gave me "kippevel" (goose bumps). A few years later we went to an airshow and this same bird made it's appearance. It was my first experience stepping in to an actual D-3. Pictures taken that day were lost in a house fire several years later, so all I have left are my memories. Okay I am off to take a flight to memory lane, just can't wait :redfire:

This thread is an interesting read. I have FSX A running on a dedicated computer, with FTX Global/Vector/OpenLC for scenery improvement. I have the PMDG 737NGX running smooth, and fly that in a multiplayer session every Saturday with no issues. Over the years I have developed a specific routine when performing a clean install. My last clean install was last January, after 3 years of running FSX. The clean install was initiated after deciding to give windows 10 a chance. No regrets so far. For the clean install I stick with a document I compiled, using my own experiences, as well as suggestions from Flight sim "guru's" that can be found on diverse forums. My computer specs are: PC 1:

One option would be to buy the Team SDB "what if" scenery for RAAF Base Scherger which used an AI version of Dave Hanvey's TSR.2. Make is flyable (simple change in the AIR file), link it up to Mal998's FDE, add a new VC from some other aircraft, and "Bob's your uncle". :ernaehrung004:

I emailed Dave about the Jaguar last year. As some may recall, back around 2012, after Phil at Virtavia said earlier he wasn't interested, I had put Dave in touch with Ron at Razbam. According to Dave the response was initially positive and he sent everything he had on the Jag to them. But then months and now years have gone by with no response to emails. This had led him to abandon that relationship and consider finishing it on his own again. That was last year so who knows? Things done well don't happen in FSX very quickly. It can take months and years to finish something verses weeks back in FS9 days. :ernaehrung004:

Hello Ed, I tested the scenery on my FSX-SE setup. It only has your airports and And FSUIPC installed. I am getting 50-80 FPS with "UNLIMITED", and 19-20 FPS with FPS locked at 20FPS, This means that, even with a moderate computer, and pretty much any airplane, you can still have a very smooth experience. Besides the anomalies already mentioned, I found 3 trees on the dirt strip that probably should not be there; The scenery blends in very well with the surroundings, and the float planes have a great location for departure and arrival.

Get your ducks lined up property on this one before mucking around with the TSR.2 in MCX. It is no longer available commercially and since Alphasim did not own the source it was not made available as freeware. It is also certainly not "abandonware" or in the public domain. If you don't have permission from David Hanvey/Paul Barry then your next best bet is the one made by Kazunori Ito. :ernaehrung004:

Phil did finally release a paint kit. It is available on the Virtavia page. I've been playing with it a little.
