Heard about the release, but was unable to load the site due to the overwhelming response to the release of this bird, and the C-47.. Will download as soon as I get home. Gonna be a nice weekend to do some flying.....:jump:

Dang. Finally able to make a post. Wow, Amazing, Fantastique, unbelievable,..... None of these words can come close to expressing the quality of this gem. My compliments and gratitude to Manfred Jahn, Jan Visser and the rest of the team. I was lucky that the download completed despite the website being overloaded.

That would appear to be the case, at least with aircraft. They apparently cannot be run in FSX or P3D, nor viewed in ModelConverterX. When installed they go into a "DLC" folder as well. :ernaehrung004:

"I wish some of these expert modelers would take on a C-46, that would round out all the classic round engine birds!" I soo agree wit that. But for now I am focused on the release of this beautiful C-47/DC-3

Griphos; thanks for the manuals. Gives me some useful reading to do while eagerly and (in-)patiently awaiting the release of my most favorite aircraft. No, I am not just saying this because of this thread. The DC-3/C-47 has given me goosebumps from the first time I saw one as a young kid. Manfred, Jan and the rest of the team; what an amazing job you all have done with this already great rendition of an iconic airplane. I wonder, being so deep into the development, if you all really realize what an incredible product you are about to offer the flight simming community. This "freeware" product put's a lot of payware products to shame. If it stays freeware, than maybe the team can select a good cause for us to donate to. I will gladly do so.

Allen-- please don't scratch too hard....What's going on is a fairly simple dynamic...(just teasing you, least with the first part of the comment...the "simple dynamic" portion is clear, however) My thoughts are with the French (again). Kent

Interesting. I helped test the aircraft in FSX, FSX-SE, and P3Dv3 on a Win 8.1 system with DX11. It worked fine. :ernaehrung004:

I checked a new gauge for Bill yesterday. The orange digital gauge has been replaced with an analog gauge that reads both fuel flow and manifold pressure. :ernaehrung004:

fsafranek replied to a thread Virtavia and P3D..... in Prepar3D
You aim the installer at the root of P3D. When you install into FSX you'll see that it aims at (typically) "F:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\FSX". So for P3D you want to aim at something like this: "F:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3". This might not be exactly what you have on your system depending on the OS version but the general idea is there. Aim at the root of the game, not some aircraft folder. If you can change the drive letter it thinks it wants to install to you should be able to change everything in that destination path. :ernaehrung004:

We were beta testers for P3Dv3 before it was released so everything in the current catalog has been installed and flown in it as well as some of the freeware titles. No P3D specific installer(s) at this time so you'll have to do it manually. :ernaehrung004:

What unit are you doing? 79 Sqn? That's the only one I can think of with the phoenix bird. If so, just google "raaf 79 sqn" and look under images. You'll find several patches and badges with the unit logo. Blow one up 200%-300% and use as a guide to make your own low-viz copy. Then reduce to fit. :encouragement: :ernaehrung004:

Blasphemy! Just kidding. :very_drunk: The Razbam A-4's work in FSX I think and they had the right model. So someone may have already done the repaint. You might check here: If it exists this place will probably have it. :ernaehrung004:
