I purchased mine from FS Pilot Shop earlier today, and it's version 1.2. The download page says: "File Last Updated: Saturday, 18th May, 2013 @ 01:09am."

Nope. I did figure out the "pilotable" vessel and saved a flight with the carrier in Puget Sound. But as for the LSO, he's got pretty stiff arms by now. :icon_lol:

This is per the manual on the various panel.cfg files.. To activate and animate the LSO, add the following lines to the panel.cfg for the aircraft you wish to use with the CV-6. WindowXX=Batsman //--------------------------------------------------------

Sorry I wasn't more specific in my thoughts. What I meant was that it was as if I was missing a *.dll or other program that the LSO setup needs to function. Basically it's a Window and xml gauge added to the panel.cfg. I can open the window and the LSO is standing there with his arms and paddles outstretched, but there is no animation as expected when I deviate from the landing flight path. I have a support ticket in with Vertical Studios, so we'll get this sorted out in time. I was just wondering if someone else might have the same issue, or if it is just my setup. I should add that this issue isn't detracting from addon. The install is straightforward, the vessel looks fantastic, and I've made about 20 traps and take offs without the LSO.

Anyone able to get the LSO to function?? I've modified my panel.cfg and added the entry per the manual, but all he does is hold his arms out. Seems like I'm missing something, but not sure what. :salute:

Roger that... Now, can someone direct me to some instructions on how to work with carriers in FSX?? I hate to admit it but this was my first landing and takeoff on an FSX carrier. :salute: Whoops. Nevermind. Just found the manual. Gotta fly now. :mixedsmi:

I am confused about the aircraft limit patch which I have installed. It was said in this forum that although you can fly in freeflight ,if you have the patch you can't fly QC or missions. Although I have AC man. installed I have taken the aircraft out of it that I had in the hangers just to see what would happen.I now have 302 aircraft and ships in CFS2 and can still fly QC and Missions. I don't fly campaigns so I don't know how that will go ,but why can I still fly QC and missions with the aircraft limit patch in? There is one group of P-40,s that although they are in the sim I can't move them from ACman. In other words ,although they show in the hanger they are actually in the sim and are perfectly flyable in the Australian mission they are for,but I can't move them from the hanger. No big deal with that since they are actually in the sim but still show in the hanger. But bottom line is why can I still fly all my missions and QC with 302 aircraft in the sim?

Andy ,thanks for your reply ,but when I reinstalled FS9 I did the full install as I always do. The only thing I can think of was these files were corrupted. At least I have access to all that is missing ,except I can't access the sections from inside FS9 and have to either go to the root folder or the other separate place where I keep them. Also I can't get the Rod Machado voice over ,but no biggy there as I took all the lessons on my old computer on XP and don't really need him saying "you don't seem to be having a good day,so we'll cancel this lesson" or something like that. I did use different disks ,because I was losing DLL files with my older disks and at least it's better than having that happen over and over again.

Although everything else works fine in my reinstall of FS9 from different disks,I noticed "Getting Started",Century of Flight",and"The Learning Center don't work.Instead I get a message saying "This program cannot display the webpage". I found all these sections on the disks and have copied them to the sim and also keep them in a separate place. They are all readable and even the King vidieo's work But if you click on "fly this lesson now" I get the same "this program cannot display webpage" message. I can access all the lessons by opening the lessons folder and clicking on the flt .part of the lessons except there is no voice over by Rod Machado. Not a big deal since I already took all the lessons when I had FS9 on XP on my old machine. Since I do have excess to all these sections it's really no biggy ,but I would like to know why these parts of FS9 don't work, corrupted files maybe? When I do go to a lesson and fly it I get another error message that says this file may be corrupted and to download Adventures, then it loads except for Rod's voiceover.I thought Adventures were only in FSX. So I have to access these sections from the FS9 root folder, not in the sim.

Great shots, guys. Although I've moved over to FSX and enjoy it a lot, I really miss the military scenery that I have in my FS9 install. I find it ironic that there are a lot of military payware and freeware FSX aircraft, but very, very little addon military scenery. :kilroy: I really enjoy the MAIW addons in FS9, but have no incentive to convert them to FSX. I kinda wish someone else would take on that challenge and make the conversation available to those of us who are somewhat technically challenged...:isadizzy:

I purchased the A-4 from Flightsim Pilot Shop this morning. Here is what the download page said: File Last Updated: Tuesday, 06th November, 2012 @ 12:10pm The download zip file is called VRT-480.zip, and it appears to be version 1.0. Guess we have to wait for them to update the download to version 1.1
