Dave ... :wavey:... I know you ... Yes ... I believe I do ... - Billy Connolly's famous Christmas Dinner skit ... Great paints, btw. I like the shine. Your lovely F-102 NASA paint is my default scheme for that plane on Edwards duty, but it's getting high in hours ... might be time to park it for a bit and put a few more on the CS two-holer ... Dave Eckert's Sopwith Camel has a gun effect with tracers. And yes Daan, eventually I will publish the Fokker S.IV, but there's a long way to go. Apart from that: it's built in FSDS 3.51, so it won't be as sophisticated as your D-XXI Cees

Cool - thanks YY. Apart from the FRN Etendard IV-P and Flying Stations' Bucc S.2 w/pod, with no native RF-8G, RF-4, and Massimo's RA-5C a ways off, there's not much by way of tactical recce birds, particularly naval ones .... so the TARPS pod is very much appreciated. cheers, dl

Great updates - thanks! Will there be any TARPS pod included, even if as a dummy, non-operable loadout option? No biggie if not, but would sure be sweet for the recce-nerds here .... dl

Hi NC, It was tricky, but I think I have it pinned. 1979. What threw me for a loop was that the photos of the grey top+belly scheme I had were dated 1979, but most photos of VA-83 A-7s, right up to 1982, have high-vis (grey top, white belly) - so that was counterintuitive, suggesting a reversal of the transitional schemes ... so I did some digging ... So, my hunch was 1979, since that's when other units were flying that scheme - take VF-74's F-4, for example ....!i=2627056668&k=Fstsfcp

Nice screens Eric! There's a sense of tension and action that I like in them ... Russ or Merida (can't remember who of the two) did this one a few years ago - a great subject for sure!. Will grab it tomorrow night when I'm back at my home pc. dl

Great news Dino - a lovely subject, by a skilled modeler, attracting well-deserved interest and paint ideas. In the absence of a more recent FSX native T-33, this is a lovely cold-war tandem-seat trainer - fully agree with Ferry - love trainers, so this is awesome. Bravo! dl

Awesome - looking forward to it. While the E, and to a lesser degree the A/B has gotten lots of high vis paints, and the E has gotten a few low-vis paints, it wasn't 'till Eric's -205 paint that anything transitional was done. So this is very cool news indeed. Here's a line bird from VA-83. Much better lighting in this shot, really shows off the paint much more nicely than in the first shot ... Meanwhile, g ood luck with the VA-12 paint, and here's to the great Corsair II revival! :very_drunk:

It's a Fokker S.IV I built several years ago. But I never really finished it. I restarted to work on this one for FSX. Cees

November 18th, 2014, 23:43 Make sure you manually start the generators, lights, etc. - those are off the port 2-d panel, pretty basic. I've not yet gotten around to fixing the canopy - almost invisible, as my last post noted. I monkeyed with DXTBmp as Henk suggested, but being dumber than a bag of hair, I couldn't get something that I was happy with. With a tiny bit more opaque canopy, it'd be near perfect - though it's already a superb model in most every regard. Scary to think that model is over a decade old :dizzy:and still looks good. dl

    Hey Jan,

You guys have been quiet as of late; still waiting on the updated flight dynamics from Rob Young before releasing the updated 2004 sabre?

I hope all of your work with MAAMsim is going well, and that you are having fun with your new gaming machine.

We continue to enjoy the F-86 in FSX very much; we never get tired of it. We look forward to the day that you run the model through the FSX SDK to compile a native FSX model.

    Wishing you the very best,

    Chris Eells

Hey Jan, what ever happened to the N3-N? I have been patiently waiting for it. It was good rugged ship, better than the Stearman.
