Hi Tom. I had a feeling you (if you were around) would try to assist me. I considered FSdeveloper, thanks. I'll go over for a visit. Have yourself an enjoyable end of the year :wavey:

Firstly, my apology for asking here in this forum, as my "?" is off-topic. Considering "most" do not go deeper into the forums, I thought to hopefully get my question answered here. If I create a hard surface, do things like autogen grass, bushes, trees etc, protrude through it when placed?

Nope. Nothing unusual. Sounds more like the computer was off and didn't get any automatic updates. I prefer to manually install the updates on both our computers, a Win7 laptop and Win8.1 desktop. MS typically sends out updates on Tuesday, but can be at anytime. The last round was December 18th. I just checked with wife's laptop and no more since then. If the updates are not installed when released, you do get the on/off recycling of the OS as some updates require install in a specific sequence. There have been times I tried to install too many, only to have to go through the process a couple of times to get all of them installed properly.

Morton, It's too bad that the source files for this aren't available...a multi-lod version would be an amazing upgrade over the old DAF version! Great work on this! :wavey:

Devildog73, I hope you don't mind, but the last whistle stop on my MTO scenery revamp tour before I continue building some new ports is Trieste, Italy. You used this in the "Destroyer Attack" mission of the Tuskegee campaign. (It's in Part IV) Using Google Earth's "time machine," I have satellite photographs of the harbor at that time. I kept your fortress and redid the oil refinery, but the biggest change so far is that I revamped the "upper" harbor to reflect the 1943 era, including the rail yard. I'll continue around the "horn" of Trieste and do the lower harbor as well...and then create a cityscape before I turn it into GSL. There's still a little work to do on the French Riviera, but after that it should all be finished, as far as Tuskegee is concerned. Here are some...

I use CCCleaner a lot, and I notice they have a defrag app as well. http://www.piriform.com/defraggler I'll need to do some comparisons and see what they provide above what the default defrag program does. I'm hesitant to download or purchase something that doesn't address what I'm experiencing.

Anyone have some suggestions or recommended programs for defragging a hard drive? I'm running Windows 8.1 with a new hard drive. Within the last month I noticed that the hard drive remains at 1% fragmentation . I've used the default MS defrag program several times as well as letting it defrag automatically, but I'm still at 1% fragmentation. There is no report available to let me know if its a system file or application, so I have no way of trying to repair or replace the fragmented files. There are no errors on the hard drive, BTW. Anyone encounter this type of situation before and have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Good morning, I finished Palermo, Sicily and have moved on to Trieste, Italy. This is the final stop for the old GSL scenery.

John, I just flew Bong mission 06 completely to the end with no CTD. I don't know what is causing yours, but it is not the mission.

Lee, Yeah...I've got the harbor reasonably close, I just won't do the "upper" harbor. I may have this finished by this evening. Then I'll need to fix some issues with my MTO install.

Good morning, Palermo is getting close...my biggest dilemma is deciding what to do regarding the "upper" harbor and breakwater. The land class and shorelines simply don't match. I was able to represent the "lower" harbor pretty accurately, though it's not finished yet. If you look at Palermo in Google Earth you'll see why I'm a little stuck.

I agree. Just because they work on my computer doesn't mean they work on everyone else's. Also, as we collaborate on the MTO again, what do you think about updating the Aces campaigns? They were only my second try at building and I have learned a lot over the course of the years. One thing I would hope to do is replace the wrhse0 and pier1 with one of Wolfi's or Xavier's piers and warehouses, to eliminate those continual errors.

Let me know if and when you would like me to replace the originals. It might be better to give it a few days and look for any reports.
