Ted, your persistence shows. The mods to the sounds have a nice flow as you transition. Ever try making sound files from scratch, for a helicopter?

Hey guys, Thanks for the list of objects so far. I have created two new sections for FSX. 1) FSX Utilities - I put Falcon's photo-realistic scenery tutorials in here. 2) I created a sub-category in the FSX scenery called "FSX scenery objects." I put a few things in here so far, but know little about what, according to FSX standards, is considered a "scenery object." What I need from you is to upload these files to SOH, placing them in this category. Please lessen my workload if possible by including pictures, and most importantly, getting permission if necessary.

The images are fantastic, Henry. Like you, I also enjoy looking to the skies. Ever since I was a boy my place was in the dark. I grew up in the city on a dead-end street. Our house was very near the end of a fairly deep canyon with a small creek. Growing up, my friend and I spent a lot of time exploring the woods. Following the creek to see where it started. We were in grade school at the time. One day we went on an adventure. It was near 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and we headed up the valley with our backpacks stuffed with, stuff. That day we'd reached unexplored areas beyond where we'd ever seen. Our being excited to see more led us to more exploring. Not keeping track of time, the sun was slowly setting. Not to worry, we told each other, as we kept going. Flashlight? Uh OH!...

Jamie, 1) No apologies necessary! 2) Updating and tweaking is a part of the process. I can tweak the package at any time!

Orbx PNW Blue, installed. While downloading I figured that the installer was out of date, and after install it would require a service pack as the final update. Surprisingly it was version 1.8 (SP8). -That updated installer made it so I could delete all the previous service packs. Along with the headaches of dealing with them. Perfect. :)

'93 or '94 Reno Air Races, I believe... At one time during the race the wife and I sought refuge from the hot sun under her wing. The only shady spot available in the paddock. fsxar, is that a repaint or actual??

Good evening, And here is Savona, only a couple of miles northeast of Vado Centro. I chose not to use a flatten and work with the natural contours of the landclass. This made placement in some areas difficult, as you can see from the pics, but also made it look more realistic IMHO.

Ah HA! That would confirm my hunch. LOL. I read a thread over at FSdeveloper on the patch/update only process, and considered that method. Then got to thinking I'd rather not considering what was involved. Not knowingly, I would screw something up!! The full installs are always better, but downloading 10gb every time gets old. Needless to say I just finished doing it.

I'm in the process of cleaning things up as far as P3D is concerned. I'm prepping for a new beginning. The only issue is that I forgot to disable the migration tool. It's being stubborn now and will not uninstall. Task manager gives me no clues to shut it down. Any thoughts? Update: I just deleted the Flightsim Estonia folder, went in the registry and cleaned out all traces of the Migration Tool. That did the trick. -P3Dv2.4 is installed, along with the latest FSUIPC. Now to get over to the Flightsim Store and download the updated installer(s) and I'll be back in business as far as flying is concerned. :)

Based on what you're saying, Ed, the issue Dimus is experiencing may be coming entirely from doing updates from patching alone. Just a guess of course. In previous versions I recall the same problem.

Save problem? Please fill me in what you are referring too. My guessing will likely be wrong. Disregard, I scrolled up and found your previous post. So there is an issue saving flights. Is anyone else having this trouble? Not a deal breaker for me. My flights are usually short ones.

I'm hopeful this evening I'll get moving on a fresh install. I'm still up to trying the v2.3 Academic update though if anyone can provide a link to it! :)
