The pic was taken in March last year at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. It was sitting under the tail of the famous Spruce Goose, so not all is shiny metal. :biggrin-new:

Yeah, I agree. I must have over 200 aircraft in FS9 and FSX and never ran into this problem until my last Windows update. It took out a skin on an Embraer 120 to solid grey. (At least that is the only one I have found thus far.) I am going to see if WIN7 has the action tbear suggested.

I once tried to eliminate all CFS1 objects from my installs. As long as I don't use some builders' scenery it works fine to keep the OBJECTS_DP folder smaller. Unfortunately, several scenery builders use CFS1 objects which cause all kinds of error messages when one eliminates CFS objects. I have deleted a bunch and will do so in the ships folder also and see if that helps. I already used "unused planes" to determine which aircraft I could delete.

Good afternoon, I was able to get the P-40f Warhawk off the USS Ranger without a catapult, and without flaps, as long as I moved the takeoff point from -50 to -110.

Good afternoon, For the US Navy missions, I used the USS Ranger for carrier takeoffs using the SBD and TBF. The Wildcat can get off the escort deck without a problem, but the FDGv2 P-40e proved a little tougher. UncleTgt, I was wondering about that. Some of the sources I had maintained it was the P-40e Warhawk that was used off the decks, while it was always my understanding that the "F" model was used. Dombral,

Dombral, I have created a Francophone installation specifically for the missions you sent me, including those thirty-four missions you speak of, as well as the missions for Operation Torch, Operation Menace, and Operation Judgement.

Hello again, There were two issues I found with this mission... 1) Getting the P-40e Warhawk off the carrier deck intact requires full flaps, WEP, and slow flap retraction. 2) I may need a 33rd Fighter Group skin for the FDG2 P-40e Warhawk. I already have all the other missions except for the Gibraltar parachute mission prepped for easy completion.

Devildog73, The work on Dombral's "Torch" missions has begun... "title_string"=Operation Torch - Flying P-40s off to Port Lyautey "summary_string"=Attention, airmen! Today, the 33rd Fighter Group will become the first pilots to land on the African Continent. You'll fly these Warhawks off the USS Chenango and land at the newly-captured airfield at Port Lyautey. From here, we will swiftly thrust eastward to push the Germans & Vichy French out of Africa completely! "objective_string"=On November 10th, 1942, the stubborn fortress at Port Lyautey was finally overrun & captured. This allowed for the 76 Curtiss P-40 Warhawks aboard USS Chenango to be flown off and land safely at this captured airfield. However, the outgoing tide would prevent needed fuel & ammunition for these...
