Well, looks like I've run out of activations for my licenses on both 1.4 and 2.2..........:dizzy: (code 5013) Maybe it's my new computer ?? Shall have to read a million forum pages to find out, I reckon........ so anyway, dug up my old FSX discs and loaded that on to my new toy and OMGG !!!! (oh my goodness gracious)......... everything maxxxxxxxed out and I'm running in the 50's fps smooth as silk. I guess it'll have to do till I get P3D straightened out......!?! LD

Beat me to it Dimus, and it's a favourite model for me tricky enough to land/takeoff and heaps of performance. :wiggle: Fun!

I think the Milviz developers all walk around on their toes, comes from pushing the bar ever higher, lol. Lovely work as always, oh my poor pocket money when it's finished. :jump:

Thanks Daniel, I'd heard this was possible but didn't know how to do it. If it can also improve Gmax in the memory department that would be welcome! (Win7 64-bit and 8 GB here...)

Click on each cross-section spline in turn. If you select them out of order you'll finish up with a contorted, folded result: As you Attach each spline to the first one it will change to the same colour. Next add a CrossSection modifier and finally a Surface modifier: this is where many say urgh! and give up:

The data for this aircraft also gives the distance aft of the nose for each fuselage cross-section, but first I want to have all the splines' pivots on 0,0,0 and aligned to the Gmax world, so select Affect Pivot Only:-

I read about this years ago on Netwings: it's only really good when you have very high quality drawings or information, but I like to get the best 3-views and detail drawings I can for a model... Like Milton says, line up your drawings using the drawing's reference centre and the Gmax home grid:-

Have you run cfs3config.exe? Give it time to report CFS3 is configured.

There's a possibility the model will then fall on its side. No, I'm not being flippant. I looked at the model's contact points in the FSX download from Alphasim/Virtavia free downloads and there is no difference in the left/right contact points, so it's a modelling issue imo. With some experimentation it might be possible to reduce the difference between the model's left and right wheel deflections but the model then might sit cockeye on the ground. Still, it might be fun for you to try: play around a little with both the left contact point height and the static deflection numbers and remember the numbers equate to sizes in feet, not meters.

A DVI->DVI connection should give better picture quality than VGA if you have that option.

Lucky you! I'm holding out for at least 8 R-R Merlins in close formation when the Canadian Mk.X Lancaster visits the UK this summer and flies displays with the BBMF Lancaster. If the BBMF fighters are in attendance that should make double figures. The camera is on charge! :jump: :jump: :jump:

I may be completely wrong here, but I understood when Flight was mooted the FS team weren't employed by MS. The ACES team working on FS11 had been 'let go' years before. But I may be wrong... In any event there's pages of meaningless conjecture on this topic elsewhere: feel free to read it if you've nothing better to do.
