I fully concur! That was my first purchase from Lionheart and is still my favorite. I feel that this is a plane that could easily be my own and expresses the way I would like to fly. The last one has been the DR400 and it brought back vivid memories of flying one in Switzerland. Thank you Bill for your creations and congratulation on a fine interview.:applause:

Amazing! Especially seeing that the carrier was stationary. Now the Navy guys will be bashing you for calling it the tower!:icon_lol: It's called the "Island".

Randy, I have all GEX regions and strongly believe they are one of the best investments as they enhance large areas at a low price. Coupled with UTX, which you have, or another landclass product they provide a good representation of the general feeling of the area. However, tastes differ and there are people who prefer default FSX to GEX. The answer is that with the Flight1 system you can return your purchase and get a full refund. So it does not hurt to try.

This looks great, Restauravia products are always top notch and at the right price! Does anyone know if the cockpit can be shared online? It would make for a great jet trainer.

I fell for it too! Glad I did! I visited my other purchase, Skiathos on a dusk and landing from the north on Rwy20:

I've seen a pup display at Old Warden. I think I have a slide somewhere (yep it was 1995, no digitals yet) of the Pup blown to the side by a sudden gust on touchdown, thankfully it just scraped a wingtip. Amazing sight and sound plus you get the smell of Castor oil for the full experience.

LoL Javis! You made me look at the manual!:icon_lol: Glad I did. They have done their homework well! Thanks for the repaint too! I'll check out the Q400. One of my previous instructors is copilot in them at Olympic.

Correction to the above on traffic. There is a daily OlympicAir flight from Athens to Skiathos and back, time depending on the day of the week, aircraft either Dash 8 100 or Q400. Now I need to get the new Majestic Q400 and paint it in Olympic colours... In the meantime, a couple of night shots on the apron:

Each PC is different and not everything works for everyone. After having tried all of them I personally always come back to Nick's guide. I like that he has a global approach to the whole of your system being setup sensibly without useless cr@p and then focus on FSX tweaking. The best one is what works best for your system. Btw even if it is old, the starting point for Nick's guide is here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/setting-up-fsx-and-how-to-tune-it_topic29041.html He is working on an updated guide probably for more current systems. Mine is old so the above suits me.

No traffic here either, with Traffic X. Traffic for airliners would be very seasonal as I think only charter flights arrive here in the summertime. The island is very close to the mainland so it is served well by ferries, which are modelled correctly by 29palms btw. You get the odd GA plane arriving the rest of the year. I need to check the Olympic and Aegean schedules but I doubt they have routes to Skiathos.

I have to say I consider this one my best purchases for FSX scenery. Even in my low end system, performance is astonishing and the looks are excellent. Never too fond of photoscenery, this one seems to have worked well by the devs and the colours are very lifelike. I like that it blends nicely with the GEX textures that I have installed and cover the surrounding islands. I flew the plane I intend to be my ride to Skiathos very soon and explored the island and the airport. My shots are not as good as Javis's cause of the lower resolution of my system. I swear I heard those seagulls that nearly hit me on final and that guy took my picture.:icon_lol: Tell me this is not real! This is just to show how colours blend with the island in the distance (Skopelos):

Nope, that's all Kefalonia there, Ithaca is further north east. I have UTX and GEX EU and you are right, it does look much better than default, but the fidelity of scenery like 29palms did in Skiathos would be great. Back on topic: I got the scenery last night, installed it but have not tried it yet as it got too late. Can't wait to get back from work tonight for some scenic approaches.

Ditto that Dennis! Cause if they do they would probably also do my favourite as well, Ithaki, as it is so close and also has a heliport. Randy, I've been to Skiathos on a sailboat and it is a great place. Whenever I fly there, I'll take pictures and we can compare the scenery. Just 200Mb to go, boy 1.5 Gigs for a small island must be good...:jump:

Those shots and the FPS comment sold me! I need to get this, even though I have not yet managed to fly there in RL, I will do so soon. This scenery might be a good way to practice the approach. The runway is supposed to have a double slope with the middle being higher than the ends. Do I see something like that in your second shot??? Thank you for the HU.

Not sure about that but maybe shadows can not be cast on the deck of a carrier as it is an object and not the ground.

That is an RF bird, no guns. I thing the only RF jet with guns was the RF-84. But yes, back on topic. That model looks great! Another classic in the making!

SSTwo is fuelled by a mixutre of Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) and Nitrous Oxide, HTPB is a translucent liquid (and the Butadiene element is a monomer in the production of Synthetic rubber) and though highly viscous is tricky to ignite, needing temperatures of over 700 Degrees Kelvin...; tC=tK-273.5 (Simple Physics equation opposite of converting Celsius TO Kelvin, tK=tC+273.5) means to ignite it requires a pre-charge of about 426.85 Degrees Celsius to start the chain reaction going... that first flame is the RM2 Control System on the SS2, which is used to open the oxidisers and fires an ignition charge....
