I have Comcast for tv and internet. The internet speeds are good and their servers and equipment have become more reliable over the years. The cable tv still sucks. You have to use their decoder boxes, they provide one HD box and one standard box, but any additional boxes mus be leased by the month. It's expensive and the rates go up every year and the increases are generally in excess of the rate of inflation. To top it off, there are frequent interruptions in the signal. I can't tell you how many times I have been watching a show or sporting event only to see the screen go black, then a message pops indicating that Comcast has detected a problem with the signal. I still have Verizon for cell phone service and I used to have Verizon land line phone service, but I dumped the land line when the line outside of my house went dead for a week and Verizon refused to even give me an estimated date at which they could come out and find the problem. That's abysmal customer service and I know others that experienced the exact same thing.

It's been a long time since I've flown Wozza's T6, but with these new FDE's I might just get back into flying warbirds. Thanks! :applause:

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Makes me sad that only 22 HW500's were ever built and only two remain airworthy.

I agree, a 90 lap race would have been just fine. I know NASCAR wants the All-Star Race to be something special, but this race is about money, no points, so a short, let it all hang out sort of race would be fun.

If you are going to be doing some VC remodeling in the future, any hope for a VC with more modern radios for those of use who fly in the modern world?

The 48 team got a good number of boos as well. I think a good number of fans are tired of the domination by the 48 team.

The USAF has been trying to get rid of the A-10 ever since they took delivery of the first one. The aircraft serves a vital role, but it's not fast, it's not sleek and sure ain't sexy, and those are the attributes the USAF seems to desire. With sequestration, the USAF is deactivating the A-10 at an accelerated pace.

I buy my chairs through local office supply stores. My last chair proved to have too little padding in the seat, so it went to the office as I'm not actually at my desk all that much. My current chair felt great, but soon the seat padding began to flatten. I now have a seat cushion tied to the chair. Yes, you do get what you pay for and so far it seems that you don't get much of a chair in the under $200 range. My current chair: http://www.officemax.com/office-furniture/chairs/product-prod3110014

I now live in a fairly quiet area. Regional jets often overfly me, but they are on descent into the KRIC, so the engines are at low rpm. I hear and see a good number of single and twin piston props using the local executive airport, King Airs, biz jets, and even a Piaggio P180 make regular visits. There is also a T-28 hangared there, I see and hear it on weekends. Here lately, I see and hear a lot of military helicopters. There has been such a huge increase in military operations that a local tv station did a story on it. There conclusion was that although there has been a 30% increase in military operations, there is nothing to see, so just ignore it and pretend they are not there.

I expect Disney's new Star Wars films will go the same way, a whole new image, mostly action, and trading on an established name. Hmmmm... maybe Disney will include zombies in their Star Wars galaxy too?

Nothing new here, they have been using Russian weaponry of all sorts for decades, now they have the money (U.S. money) to purchase new and replacement weapons, so they buy what they already understand and know how to use. Yes, I do see the irony, but it's just the way it is.

That was true of FSX in its original form, but MicroSoft added multi-core support to FSX with FSX Service Pack 1. That is why so many people saw tremendous frame rate improvement and smoother performance when they installed SP1. Hyperthreading does not help FSX because hyperthreading simply takes each physical CPU core and divides it into two virtual cores. FSX only recognizes physical cores.

The consensus is that hyperthreading is all hype when it comes to MicroSoft's flight sims. Most people seem to get smoother performance with hyperthreading turned off.
