I am pleased to say I have managed to get the newer Win7 computer set up.. Replaced the 300w power source with a 550w power source. Installed a 320 meg Nivida 8800 GTS video card to replace the 256 meg onboard video. Not a Big video card but a improvement from the onboard video. Transfered all the files to this new Win 7 machine from my E-machine.. Progress.. And there is much rejoicing! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Hi Gosd, I remember previous discussion of this but don't recall the outcome! Just an idea - isn't there a bomb drop sound that occurs as you release the torpedo? Perhaps a modified bomb drop sound file, with a splash happening after 2-3 seconds, might solve the first half of your question. Needs to be distinguished from standard bomb drop though. Is the torpedo water hit effect linked to a sound file? One of the stock ambient water explosion files might sound realistic enough to double as a torpedo hit sound. Just Kickin' ideas around - I see Gecko has a way with sound files - per the mods he did for Pat's taxiing Halifaxes. :salute:

Hi greycap, I've just been noticing that! I've got a lovely book called Janes Fighting Aircraft of WWII, and it quotes all the weights in kg, so its a drag having to convert to imperial units all the time! I don't know why the US is so out of step on this stuff. :salute:

I should re state this..I will have a XDP that will correspond with ETO 1.40.. This way it will limit the need for additional files to be installed. That is My hope at this point for the Hampden.. I can include a Modded XDP for those who have a advanced ETO 1.40 set up.. Trying to make this as "Stock" to what a Hampden would carry, inline with our ETO 1.40 expansion. With a Honest Airfile also inline with what a Hampden would fly like in our beloved CFS3 set ups..

Give it a look, its an email that was saved in the package. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=159&id=15412 HTH,

Hi, I just noticed here under the Downloads section "CFS3 Other" (the root folder I think) there are a couple of zip files with a list of all the commands including all the engine commands. Other sites used to hold similar files but this one is pretty comprehensive so should do the trick. HTH, D

In the Mission builder. When you chose your aircraft, you can also chose the load out.. Bombs, Rockets or whatever you need. Also in the mission builder you can chose the type of mission Strike, Intercept, or whatever you need. Open with note pad/or word. The information for the mission parameters look like this: <Params Version="3.0" Directive="search_destroy" Country="Britain" Aircraft="eto_pby_cat_1" This is a search _destroy mission

Hi Clive, I've sunk a bit of time into this and still haven't widened the net of workingspawns. The annoying thing is that once I had an install where every airbase facility had a spawn attached to it. I'm not sure what the fragging spawn is? Is it ETO 1.40? On your Scampton package, I amended the Halifax_taxi xdp from heavy armour because all the squeaking and clanking as they taxiied past annoyed me. Then I tried to get innovative and wrote an effect to get the ai_bomber sound - followed faithfully a formula where the fx_aibomber is triggered at taxiing speed, but have not been successful as yet. It would be great to have the taxiing aircraft come with proper sounds. Did you think of adding cap spawns to some of your British airbases in Southern England, for your BoB update? I could do some prototype ones if you like. Which airfields had heavy attention from German bombers? :icon29:

    Bonjour Daniel,

    A bientôt,
    André.
