There is no reason to become impolite. I would appreciate it if you could discuss inquiries about purchase details at the Milviz forums, by PM or by e-mail. I don't think it serves any purpose to see two people quarreling about something nobody else in interested in. Thanks for you understanding and cooperation, Huub

Since it uses the Flight1 wrapper I assume their 30-day refund policy will also work for this aircraft. It's really not that hard to start, just follow the instructions on page 5 of the manual ("Just tell me how to start it."), the only tricky is the timing to click the throttle. Wait about 3 seconds to click it after clicking the battery switch.

What would help is a ban on bringing stairs, steps, pieces of scaffolding and other thing you can climb on, so the front row isn't blocked by people standing on them.. That shower on Saturday was nasty! About halfway through my umbrella broke by a hard gust of wind and left me and my camera exposed. Had to grab my camera cover and rain suit in a hurry!

That's at least some good news, Vin! I already heard rumors during my last visit that the people of Soesterberg were not happy with the US aircraft not becoming a part of the new museum, as they felt it was a big part of the history of their town. Seems like they listened after all! The Phantom didn't fly a display, but it did two passes before landing on Friday morning. Quite a nice surprise!

Hi Jens I was indeed referring to the titles on the fuselage. It might be worth to try a bit texturing these letters, for instance some spickles, to make them look "less present" a bit. But as I already said a very interesting repaint, which will definitely find a place on my hard disk! Cheers, Huub

Didn't see any while at Rhodes either! But I guess the Greeks don't have any other option but to continue flying their Phantoms at the moment..? With the current crisis I'm sure then won't (And probably can't) spend anything on a replacement anyway. The good news is that 'we' recently purchased a Phantom for the air force museum in Soesterberg and painted it in the colours of the Wolfhounds back when they were based there. It was supposed to fit in the museum's display of the F-86, F-100, F-102 (A former Greek aircraft) and F-15, but with the move to a new location and merger with the army museum there's a chance we won't see any of those aircraft again.. Last rumor I've heard had the Phantom and F-15 rotating on display and the others sold, stored or scrapped.

There's a switch or panel to activate the tailhook on the model, but it's hidden when you load the aircraft.

Well, I was four years old back in 1980, so...... :icon_lol: I've seen Phantoms on static display almost every year since 2000 (When I started visiting the shows) but they never did a display, and not even during holidays in Germany or Turkey did I see one. Much like the Fitter the Phantom is a great fuel-to-noise converter, but not a great aircraft for a show, as those beasts seem to prefer to fly only in a straight line at high speeds.

The main market for Adobe Photoshop is most likely professional photographers and publishers, I think for them there isn't much difference whether they need to buy an expensive program once in a while or work with a subscription. For us who are using these photo editing programs just as a drawing program it doesn't make any sense to pay a monthly fee. But We should alo realise that we are no market for Adobe. I will stick with my ancient Paint Shop Pro 7 version as long as my PC's operating system allows me. And after that I hope Gimp is still around..... Cheers, Huub

Another aircraft you never see flying, but now a pair did a display; Polish Sukhoi Su-22M4 Fitter. Lots of noise and smoke but not very good at making turns: Air Atlantique Avro Anson, yet another first for me: This KLM 737 did a fly-by and landing, it was filled with about 120 severly disabled or sick children, for which an foundation called 'Hoogvliegers' (High flyers) organizes special trips like these:

This weekend the Dutch air force organized the traditional air show weekend (Friday and Saturday) and of course we attended both days again. The special theme this year was '100 years of military aviation' as the Dutch air force was founded back in 1913. Despite budget cuts a nice program was assembled, including four of the best display teams in the world: the Red Arrows, Frecce Tricolori, Patruille Suisse and the Patrouille de France. Other jets included the solo F-16 displays from the RNLAF, Belgian air force and Turkish airforce, Czech and Hungarian Gripen and the French 'Ramex' team with two Mirage 2000N. Because of the 100 years anniversary a lot of classic aircraft attended, including a few from the Battle of Britain memorial flight (BBMF) and Air Atlantique. Took a whole lot of photos; here are a few highlights: German F-4 Phantom in its 'Pharewell' paint. Amazingly I never saw one flying although the Germans and Turks attended several shows in the past but Always on the static show: Polish Lim-2 (MiG-15); another one I never saw flying before:

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Skins Description: In the movie Flyboys the pilots from the Lafayette squadron are mostly fighting red Fokker Dr.1s and one black Fokker Dr.1. In reality the Lafayette squadron did not fight any Fokker Dr.1s and the Fokker were only painted red in the movie to make the easy to recognise for the audience watching the movie. In the movie there is one red Fokker with crossed swords painted on the fuselage. Most likely these swords were based on the swords which were painted on the Albatross D.II flown by VFw Erich Kohler from Jasta 9. The Fokker in the movie was flown by the fictional pilot Franz Wolferd a not so bad "bad guy". The black Fokker in the movie was flown by the non-existing "Black Falcon". The real bad guy, who of course was killed by the ultimate good guy, at the end of the movie. Enjoy, Huub June 2013 To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit Fokker Dr.1 from the movie Flyboys

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - Other Description: This file contains 2 historic correct textures for Richard Alexander Van Hien's Fokker T.V. One depicts the 857 in pre-1940 colours with red-white-blue markings and the srcond livery depicts the same aircraft with the large orange markings which were introduced late 1939 to avoid confusion with British aircraft. Although the textures were originally done for FS2004, I assume they will work well on the coverted model in CFS2 as well. Enjoy, Huub

b24_witchcraft, when I understand you correctly, you want a 31FG repaint for the FSX acceleration Mustang. I have been looking at the usual places, but couldn't find a paintkit for this model. I think it is too much work for most of the repainters to create a full paintkit from scratch, just to make this one repaint. (at least it is for me) When you want a B or C model P51 and are not willing spend any money on it, you could try the P51B/Cs from A.F. Scrub. You can find these at Flightsim.com. Just search for the files mustangp51b-c.zip, mustangp51b-c1.zip and mustangiii_fix.zip. As I don't think these models support "shine" you will not be able to create (or find) any reflective textures for them. When you really want to have a model from the aircraft you show in your picture, there is no other option than to spend a some money on the Warbirdsim P51B package and get the repaint done by JanKees. I can assure you that you won't regret the money spend on the model. Cheers, Huub

    Francois,
Just in case you are bored. Made a video of F1 Ferrari at YouTube. 3 1/2 minutes. Shows it's speed racing around airport on tarmac at 200 kts (keeping it 'real'). But it will do 567 Kts in 1/4 mile in 3.3 seconds. I call it 'The Beast' (ha). Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cy3Kd-1-wk . Got jet lag? Figured. No need to reply. Just me showing off (again). Francois,
(I like your name-'fran-swaa'-hehe). I just finished (3 am) un-installing and re-installing FS2004 and FSX Deluxe. FSX would not start due to 'msxml4' type error. Spent hours on google looking it up. Gave up. No 'real' fix, just 'try this, try that' type advice (no bueno). So had no choice. Now I will install Acceleration and go hit the sack (around 5 am). Sleeping until 11 is 6 hours (my 'minimum') so I still DO manage to 'function' in the daytime (I let the neighbors see me 'up and about' just so they don't think I am a 'vampire' (or zombie) - hehe). CYA.

    Francois,
Came in here for something else, but noticed I (by habit) gave you my YouTube handle as being 'Napamule' (also 'napammule'). You will find those are old videos (not so good either). My current handle is 'celeritas354'. That will get you the latest (and the 'greatest'-hehe) videos by me. The others I wish I could delete, but it's fun to watch them occasionally, just for laughs. The only exception is the 'Porsche in FSX' one.

The something else is an example of what takes a lot of my 'free' time (I don't just do simming all day, you know). This was in the news, so I went to YouTube and found a video of this 4 yr old, abstract painter, from Russia that does amazing work. I have stroked a brush on canvas myself (been years, though). But I still have my oil paint brushes, etc. Maybe one of these days? (I guess I better 'finish' the weeds and overgrowth in the backyard first-ha). But I digress. It's about a very young (4 yrs) artist from Russia. She is having a exibit/show in one of the New York Galleries and her 1st 4 sold right away ($5,000 range). Take a breather and relax (I hope) by watching this video. It shows her doing her thing-live. I think you will like it. I know I did. Link: http://youtu.be/23hWMvSrZx8 .

    Hello,
I wonder which jeep (model author) you have. I have FDEs that work good for Gary Burns Willy's Jeep. I have it in FS9 and FSX. I have ziped the folder with files (complete package) and looking for Gary Burns to get 'ok' so I can upload it here. Seeing as you 'do' jeeps, do you know where he might be?. I tried looking all over net. Oh well. Upload it anyway, I guess. His last 'activity' was back in 2007 or so. Perhaps I can post FDEs to MediaFire file hosting so you can download and try on your jeep. I've been doing FS vehicles since FS98. I have YouTube videos (key in 'Napamule'). Cheers.

It's bruce Martin here, When the Lysander first came out I mentioned that the Light mapping on the engine was reversed i.e the part of the engine that was in the shadows was showing as it was in Daylight and visa-versa , is/was there a fix for this.

  7. Why am I not surprised ?
As long as the authorities are not prepared to put him away, there's not much hope off winning this.
