Hi Discus, I've installed quite a lot of castles and other landmarks from FS2002 and even FS 2004 without any trouble. If they don't show up or they cause the sim to crash simply delete them. There are problems with some of the older scenery from FS2000 and before when they have roads, rivers and ground textures as part of the scenery. They look terrible in CFS 2. In those cases I decompiled the .bgl files and deleted the offending bits of the scenery. Kevin

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Missions Add-Ons Description: Mission used by VF-15 pilots to earn their navigator's wings after completing VF-15's Navigation Tutorial Parts 1-5 (see CFS2/Utilities section to download). Read the Mission Briefing at the end of Nav Tutorial Part 5, make your calculations, and then fly the mission to see if you pass! by VF15_Muto To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit VF15_N50_RevB_NavFinalExam-mis.zip The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Hi Folks, It appears files can no longer be downloaded from the Archive. I think I have all the missing files from the Campaigns and Missions sections, so I have begun uploading them. After these are done, the only missing files should be in the Aircraft and Skins categories. Here's what I have uploaded so far: VF15_N50_RevB_NavFinalExam-mis.zip DoolittleRaidVN.zip

How's this for size? Here's a 65 lb and 112 lb slung under a DH4. The bomb racks could also be scaled down if desired. I decompiled the 112 lb bomb .bgl file and adjusted the scale to 75% in the .sca header as shown by Shessi. I similarly scaled down a Grand Slam to Tallboy size some time ago.

Hi Rami & Shadow Wolf, "Mission 6 is now survivable, provided you don't try more than 3 passes. Get in, hit hard and get out fast." "I can survive it if I go in low and fast." I should have mentioned I tried that early in my testing of this mission. Even if I sunk a ship and limped home heavily damaged, I would get a message saying I had failed the mission. Is it because I didn't use up all my ammunition? It's when I continue to attack to use up all my ammo as instructed, I get shot down.

Thanks Rami but I do have those .dp files installed. I think it may be the concentration of fire by so many ships in tight formation. I did some more reading on axis convoys to Africa and it seems they were quite small - 3 to 5 merchants escorted by 2 destroyers. The rest of the missions are going well.

I think the muzzle flashes are behind the wings because you are in slew mode and have slightly moved the aircraft. Did you survive mission 6 - the convoy attack off Benghazi? I keep getting shot down even though Rami has toned down the escorts.

Yes Nick, I'm Australian living in sunny Sydney, and like many Australians have enjoyed visiting Greece a number of times. As for the Martin Baltimore, now that we have a couple of aircraft and a few skins with paint in various states of wear and tear, I hope a few missions might come our way in the near future. Jinx, Did you see the .rar file further down the page? There are three beta versions - Marks II, III and V, all in desert colours, as well as a SAAF Mk V and a black Mk V. You're right about the fading. My dad was in the RAAF at Milne Bay, New Guinea, and when I look at his old photos of various aircraft, they look pretty weather beaten. Just for interest, there were two RAAF Baltimore squadrons, 454 and 459, both based in the Med. There are two books telling the histories of both squadrons - "Alamein to the Alps" for 454 Squadron and "Desert Scorpions" for 459 Squadron. By coincidence two of my friends' fathers were Baltimore pilots, one in each RAAF squadron. I've talked at length to Keith, the 459 pilot's interesting stories about his sorties in the Baltimore. After flying a Lockheed Hudson, it was like getting into a sportscar. He said it was a bit of a handful at takeoff with a pronounced swing due to powerful engines.

Actually they were painted like that in the US factory. Here's a couple of shots taken in the US before export to North Africa. Have you seen the Baltimore by Giuli which BraveHeart is working on? http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?77678-For-Allen-Baltimore-testing-results

Hi Braveheart & BloodHawk, Changing the number in blue does what you say, but if you want to keep the armament as machine guns only, you need to change the number after the = sign to designate which trigger on your joystick fires the guns: 0 for machine gun trigger and 1 for cannon trigger. Here is a handy reference guide: gunstation.{A}0= {B}0, {C}2, {D}1, {E}0.01, {F}870, {G}4, {H}0.01, {I}1000, {J}2, {K}40, {L} 1d1*16, {M}0.55, {N}0.25, {O}2.2, {P}0.128056, {Q}0, {R}0.1, {S}0, {T}0, {U}0, {V}0, {W}0.5

Sorry about the message I sent yesterday. I realize now you referred a chap named Matt to me to help out. I am sending him an e-mail with the necessary information. I hope he is still willing to help. Sorry I am so disorganized.
