I have seen your request, but I have nearly all native FSX Warbirdsim P-51s installed so there is no real reason for me to install Wozza's FS9 P-51 in FSX. As most of our members live on the other side of the pond (at least for me), most of our members haven't seen your request yet. So I suggest to wait for at least 12 more hours to see whether there is somebody able to help you. If not I will install Wozza's Stang (tomorrow) and do an attempt to create something. Remember; patience is a virtue....... and help is something which is offered, but there is is no right to demand it. Cheers, Huub

In weightlessness it is difficult to move heavy things. The force to start the movement will be equally large on your body. When you want to stop the movement you will have to apply force again which will also make your body move. That's why the Belgian and Dutch have developed a sort of camera tri-pod which can be mounted in the cupola from the International Space Station. In the place where I work we have a clean room in which all items which will be introduced in the European part from ISS will have a fit and compatibility check, before they are moved to ISS. When I was in this cleanroom in December last year I discovered the tri-pod which will be mounted in the cupola to support the cameras. With some imagination you see the shape of a half cupola with the bracket mounted. There is no camera on the bracket. I assume this item has been taken to ISS by the European astronaut Luca Parmitano last May. So you can expect better quality pictures due to some Belgian and Dutch engineering.... Cheers, Huub

When it happens independent of where and what you are flying, the answer is yes..... It might also be a cooling/heat problem. You could try whether it improves when you take a cover from your PC.

There is no reason to become impolite. I would appreciate it if you could discuss inquiries about purchase details at the Milviz forums, by PM or by e-mail. I don't think it serves any purpose to see two people quarreling about something nobody else in interested in. Thanks for you understanding and cooperation, Huub

Hi Jens I was indeed referring to the titles on the fuselage. It might be worth to try a bit texturing these letters, for instance some spickles, to make them look "less present" a bit. But as I already said a very interesting repaint, which will definitely find a place on my hard disk! Cheers, Huub

Thanks for the pictures Ferry, I enjoyed them! Funny to hear you never saw (or should I say "hear"") a Phantom in flight. When I was stationed at Soesterberg in 1978, 32TFS was still flying them. I think they were replaced by Eagles in 1980. Huub

The main market for Adobe Photoshop is most likely professional photographers and publishers, I think for them there isn't much difference whether they need to buy an expensive program once in a while or work with a subscription. For us who are using these photo editing programs just as a drawing program it doesn't make any sense to pay a monthly fee. But We should alo realise that we are no market for Adobe. I will stick with my ancient Paint Shop Pro 7 version as long as my PC's operating system allows me. And after that I hope Gimp is still around..... Cheers, Huub

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Skins Description: In the movie Flyboys the pilots from the Lafayette squadron are mostly fighting red Fokker Dr.1s and one black Fokker Dr.1. In reality the Lafayette squadron did not fight any Fokker Dr.1s and the Fokker were only painted red in the movie to make the easy to recognise for the audience watching the movie. In the movie there is one red Fokker with crossed swords painted on the fuselage. Most likely these swords were based on the swords which were painted on the Albatross D.II flown by VFw Erich Kohler from Jasta 9. The Fokker in the movie was flown by the fictional pilot Franz Wolferd a not so bad "bad guy". The black Fokker in the movie was flown by the non-existing "Black Falcon". The real bad guy, who of course was killed by the ultimate good guy, at the end of the movie. Enjoy, Huub June 2013 To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit Fokker Dr.1 from the movie Flyboys

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - Other Description: This file contains 2 historic correct textures for Richard Alexander Van Hien's Fokker T.V. One depicts the 857 in pre-1940 colours with red-white-blue markings and the srcond livery depicts the same aircraft with the large orange markings which were introduced late 1939 to avoid confusion with British aircraft. Although the textures were originally done for FS2004, I assume they will work well on the coverted model in CFS2 as well. Enjoy, Huub

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Skins Description: This file contains alternative textures for the Neobq Fokker DR.1. They depict Hermann Becker's Fokker Dr.1. Hermann Becker entered the Fliegertruppe in 1916. After serving as an observer on the Eastern Front, he was trained as a pilot and sent to the Western Front to fly two-seaters. In May 1917, he was assigned to Jasta 12 as a single-seat fighting pilot. Becker scored his first victory on 6 June 1917. In May 1918, Becker assumed command of Jasta 12. b24_witchcraft, when I understand you correctly, you want a 31FG repaint for the FSX acceleration Mustang. I have been looking at the usual places, but couldn't find a paintkit for this model. I think it is too much work for most of the repainters to create a full paintkit from scratch, just to make this one repaint. (at least it is for me) When you want a B or C model P51 and are not willing spend any money on it, you could try the P51B/Cs from A.F. Scrub. You can find these at Flightsim.com. Just search for the files mustangp51b-c.zip, mustangp51b-c1.zip and mustangiii_fix.zip. As I don't think these models support "shine" you will not be able to create (or find) any reflective textures for them. When you really want to have a model from the aircraft you show in your picture, there is no other option than to spend a some money on the Warbirdsim P51B package and get the repaint done by JanKees. I can assure you that you won't regret the money spend on the model. Cheers, Huub

Great work John. I really love them! Wozza's T6 was already a great model. But the textures from guys like Marcel, Tom, Daniel, Marvin and you (and all those I forget) really make this model special! When I look at the download numbers I think most like the polished one. However I prefer to look at your perfect rendering from aluminium dope. Cheers, Huub

I think WinZip can perhaps do more, but most people don't use these things and they are just confusing. Cheers, Huub

Warhorse was faster....... But start with creating a folder with the name you want to give to you file. Create the texture folders as subfolder. Put the files as red me, screenshots etc. Into the original folder you made. Than select allfiles in this folder an right-click and choose the winzip options. I hope this makes some sense, Cheers, Huub

My first attempts to create a repaint were not more than edits from existing textures. For me a real repaint is one you make from ground up, so including all the panel lines, rivets, shading, weathering, etc.... My first real repaint was the FIAT G-55 Centauro by Ignacio Alfredo Medive. Believe it or not but I made it in MSpaint. It is possible but you have to save after every step and there is no way to redo things. I love the FIAT G-55 and kept repainting the aircraft, on top the original one done in MSPaint, below some of my latest repaints of this model, which I never uploaded, as I don't think many people still fly this early CFS2 model

Guys this is not going anywhere. You are all entitled to have your opion on everything even about politics. But please share those over a beer in a place suitable and not here. The UN is a large body and perhaps not that effective, like many other large bodies aren't very effective. As its name says these are the United nations. This includes those who are with you but also those who are not with you and even those who are against you. Please realise: When the UN is a failure, it is your country's failure as well, as your country is part of it. Please behave as mature and reasonable people and discuss things in a civilised way, otherwise I will be forced to close this thread. Huub

Bazz, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the AH/JF DC3, however as everybody has the default DC3 and Manfred's C47 and Basler were offered free, it is most likely that more people are familiar with these models than the AH/JF DC3. Actually when I first saw this thread I immediately had the AH/JF DC3 in mind. So, perhaps the only thing which is wrong about the AH/JF DC3 is that is payware, while there are freeware alternatives available. Cheers, Huub
