For the Alaska baked 737, Ifly 737 at the Flight 1 lib by Colin Lowe. There are two Salmon's. Paint can go for there Fs9, FSX or Prepar3D version official. I left the NGX on the curb, as it discriminates against Fs9 and Prepar3D Offically.

Funny you should ask ... When Don's latest update was published, I saw the indicators for down as barberpole. That just seemed odd - but in in some photos in my books, they indeed show that for some of the newer E/J/L models. (eg: rear cover of Detail & Scale F-8 Crusader). Steve Pace's F-8 Part One, p.66 shows a vertical bar on a B model. In most of the museum models, they seem to be barberpoled....

I cant offer a good answer on why Afghanistan isn't buying with there money. However on the purchase of Russian Helo's I can somewhat. Most if not all of Afghanistan's Pilots and crews are trained on Russian Equipment. If US made Helo's were bought and sent , the cost goes way up. You would have re train Crews and pilots and that will almost increase and excel the cost and extend the afghan mission. By going to Russian made you wont encounter that increase cost of training and also Russian Helo's are cheap. So in a way US Tax Payers are actually saving by going the Russian Route on Helo's for Afghanistan. Just my train of thought on this.

The metal looks awesome - all the various panels with different shades of polish - looks just superb. With all this work you've done, there really is something for everyone. Many kind thanks! DL

Well, looking forward to whatever you come up with. Indeed, those "older" NASA paints you did were my favourite for this model until this recent batch. So if they benefit from any of your current panel line work great - no worries either way. A further twist on the NASA models - for more peaceful purposes, could be a rendition to represent the earth science surveillance platform that was the U-2 and now the ER-2. One could easily argue the delta wing does not confer the greatest high-altitute performance - but, it's a sim, right? A bit hard to find good photos ... I really like this older scheme with the blue meatball ... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/theplasticsurgeon/ModelPlanes/U2s/Airfix_U2_Nasa.jpg . http://aether.lbl.gov/www/projects/u2/U2EXPGFS.JPG

http://royalefrenchnavy.perso.sfr.fr/RFN-1-CDG-FR.htm - look at the 2) on the right. Don, what's there more to say - other than AWESOME - CAN'T WAIT! Another RF-paint seems almost too good to be true - that you've mapped it to the F8U-1Emodel is great news - the fewer missiles, the better! :) Looking forward to this - and it's motivating me to find more time to finish my Cuba '60 scenery project ... Man - you're really a machine!!! I'm almost all out of ideas - you've done every single one I could have hoped for. All I'm thinking (and maybe they already have it) - but your X-24B and X-15 inspired paints from pages 3-4 of this thread - could they benefit from your recent updates? That's really all for me - the couple USMCs, couple of Navy prototypes, and couple of NASAs - my cup runneth over!! DL

Smokin', JAFO!! No worries on the text orientation. You're right, the other text in relation to the NASA flash would have had to have been "over" the flash. Although that's the compromise I'd have made, the key word is "I'd" - the your repaint, your choice - so no worries - love it all the same. NASA font is all sorted - nothing left to say - oh, except that I saw you snuck in a Dryden logo - clever bugger! All in all - it's just magnificent. 10/10, mate! Cheers, DL

Hello JAFO! They all look awesome!! Re: F/A-12 prototype (red/white) - I'd say it's there. Re: YA-12 (NASA) - I think the blue looks good as you've rendered it. My only commentary would be around the NASA font - and position. You've used a serif'ed font, vs the non-serif font used in the mid 70s period in the ref photo. Here's a few other NASA aircraft using the same yellow flash/black lettering - all from the same period. Now granted, these are dedicated NASA test bed machines - but the point is they used the same flash font during this period .... http://www.air-and-space.com/20060213%20Palmdale/DSC_2988%20Jetstar%20N814NA%20NASA%20left%20side%20l.jpg

JAFO - you're an animal, mate!! Unbelievable productivity. Looks awesome - my only minor comment would be the FA-18 - perhaps would better as "F/A-18" - as per both the paint scheme and the general USN/USMC fighter type nomenclature. Besides that ... just make some room at my fave hangar at Patuxent for some trials .... she'll be well loved!! Cheers, DL

    Hi SteveB,

Wanted to thank you for the beautiful repaint of the VNAF T-28D (Tiger Sqn) which was based at Nha Trang in 1962. Was a controller working out of the old "French Tower" from Feb. '62 - Dec '62. Also, had U-1A's, U-6's, Huey's, and OV-1's stationed there. C-97's, C-130's, C-123's C-124's, A-1's, C-7's, Air VN DC-3's/DC-6's, CH-21's, Air America U-10's and some Aussie Blackburn Beverly's pass though.

Stalin calling, I'm painting up some Ju52's and have so far failed to find out if Finland used any in the 30's/40's time. I prefer painting float equipt models but am also doing the odd wheeled model, If you could see if you have anything I can use please help.

    Hi Steve!

I am sorry to notice your message (April 2009!) but now. I have no private message alarm active and haven't checked my pm for a long time. I found this while trying this new SimOuthouse software. Sorry once again.

If this matter (Ju52's) is still actual I can try to find out if there is anything. According to my present knowledge Finland didn't have Ju52's as military service. Only a couple of civil version flied during the war time. One "Kaleva" was shot down in summer 1940 by Russian airplane (actually a bomber) when there was still peace time between the Winter war and the Continuation war.
