Ariane Design's Boeing 737-C40 is a very nice model. The process for activating it is daunting (actually a pain in the arse), but I managed to get through it after a few missteps. But I do have a problem I wanted to share. When I am through flying that model, and try to end the flight, then FSX locks up. The only thing I can do is try to exit and wait to reboot and start all over. This only seems to happen with this model. NC Btw, I bought it half price thru FSPilot.com Normally $60, but on still on sale for $30:encouragement: http://www.fspilotshop.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Ariane+c-40

I found the problem. When I go to select a airport, if I type in Alameda, then Alameda NAS appears, with a Airport ID of NGZ. Only active runway is available to choose. But, if I type in NAS Alameda, then the correct one, with Airport ID of KNGZ shows up...... I choose that one, and all is well. So is the NGZ the default airport? NC

Am hoping someone can help me solve this problem. I tried to follow all instructions for installation, but I obviously screwed something up. When I select Alameda, the only option I am given is the Active Runway, period. No parking. Please give me a idea where to look for problem??? Thanks, NC

To clear things a bit, the capital controls block any online money transfer for goods other than "software and apps", so if SSW online store is registered in Paypal for selling other goods, the money transfer is denied by the Greek banks. Considering that the Mirage F-1 has been an iconic fighter for the Hellenic Air Force it is worth to try assisting with this "problem", all Greek members will greatly appreciate this as we all appreciated last year's SSW generous offer. Additionally, I suggest to our friendly SSW team to not forget some (or all) of the unique Hellenic Air Force in service and anniversary liveries and primarily the Hellenic Air Force peculiar 4 x AIM-9 P4 configuration (2 AIM-9P4's at the wingtips and 2 AIM-9P4's at the outer underwing pylons usually used to carry...

I haven't gotten involved with combat sims much, but can certainly see where bass shakers would add a LOT of realism to them. But with civilian sims, it's cool to feel the difference when flying older recips! NC

Years ago I bought bass shaker speakers to add realism for flight simulation. Then I moved a couple times, and the equipment (speakers and amplifier) sat on a shelf in my closet. Yesterday I finally took everything out and spent some time, attaching a speaker under the office chair I use for flight simming, and connected my pc sound to a amplifier, and then to the speaker. WOW! I had forgotten how much that bass shaker speaker effect adds to flight simming!! The amp I use is way over powered for the task (Dayton Audio 240 watt), but at the time I bought it, the price was very cheap. The bass shaker is made by Aura. About $50 on Amazon. NC

I just think it would add yet another interesting option. I personally do not know how to incorporate it, but DO remember what it was like to be a back seat rider, and hear the communication between the pilot and GCA. Very cool. NC

I have posted about GCA-controlled approaches in FSX previously, and it was mentioned by someone that Cloud9's Aviano scenery for FS9 did have GCA. My question is twofold. Will the Cloud9 Aviano scenery work in FSX? And if so, is that scenery still available for purchase? Thanks, NC
