Guess I shouldn't worry so much... FS9 is at 21.1 Gb FSX is at 65.4 Gb I try to control sizes by moving aircraft (and some scenery) folders to an external HD if and when I feel I don't fly them, thereby leaving the favorite aircraft in the sim. So there is an additional 150.0 Gb for FS9 and 8.6 Gb for FSX of inactive aircraft, manuals, paint kits, etc. on an external drive. This does not include the full copies of each sim on other portable drives used as backups in case of a reinstall, etc.

I purchased mine from FS Pilot Shop earlier today, and it's version 1.2. The download page says: "File Last Updated: Saturday, 18th May, 2013 @ 01:09am."

Nope. I did figure out the "pilotable" vessel and saved a flight with the carrier in Puget Sound. But as for the LSO, he's got pretty stiff arms by now. :icon_lol:

This is per the manual on the various panel.cfg files.. To activate and animate the LSO, add the following lines to the panel.cfg for the aircraft you wish to use with the CV-6. WindowXX=Batsman //--------------------------------------------------------

A good curry and a packet of laxatives. That should give you a full motion quite cheaply.:icon_lol:

Sorry I wasn't more specific in my thoughts. What I meant was that it was as if I was missing a *.dll or other program that the LSO setup needs to function. Basically it's a Window and xml gauge added to the panel.cfg. I can open the window and the LSO is standing there with his arms and paddles outstretched, but there is no animation as expected when I deviate from the landing flight path. I have a support ticket in with Vertical Studios, so we'll get this sorted out in time. I was just wondering if someone else might have the same issue, or if it is just my setup. I should add that this issue isn't detracting from addon. The install is straightforward, the vessel looks fantastic, and I've made about 20 traps and take offs without the LSO.

Anyone able to get the LSO to function?? I've modified my panel.cfg and added the entry per the manual, but all he does is hold his arms out. Seems like I'm missing something, but not sure what. :salute:

Roger that... Now, can someone direct me to some instructions on how to work with carriers in FSX?? I hate to admit it but this was my first landing and takeoff on an FSX carrier. :salute: Whoops. Nevermind. Just found the manual. Gotta fly now. :mixedsmi:

The Eurofighter nose is made of different materials to the main fuse so it will kick up a different level of specular in different lights. The RAF ones are having their specular levels toned down though to better simulate the latest schemes and will be incorporated in the next upgrade/patch. Along with a few other "suggestions" made.

Thankyou to those who have commented through JF. I should probably point out that the HUD is already undergoing changes and will be incorporated in the boxed edition and also as part of an upgrade/bugfix patch.

Hi Christoph, No worries. It's early days so when we know of any patches or upgrades down the line, you never know what can be added! Our reference shots show fully loaded aircraft.

We have used the official loadout specification layout sheet with diagrams, as our base for the loadout system. This is produced by the Eurofighter manufacturers themselves and indicates six possible mission loadouts. So if it is unrealistic, I guess you'd bettter tell them. We produced this model with assistance, guidance and beta testing by real world Eurofighter engineers and RAF personnel. Many, many changes and improvements were made to the original models as a result of their scrutiny and suggestions. Pretty obviously, no official technical documentation is available on the open market. However, if you have any and wish to risk the wrath of the official secrets people, we'd be delighted to have it before any upgrades/patches are carried out!:engel016:

A few adjustments have been made to the paintkit so it won't be out, I suspect until next week. The textures are high res so be aware please that the paintkit is extremely detailed but very large.:engel016:

Great shots, guys. Although I've moved over to FSX and enjoy it a lot, I really miss the military scenery that I have in my FS9 install. I find it ironic that there are a lot of military payware and freeware FSX aircraft, but very, very little addon military scenery. :kilroy: I really enjoy the MAIW addons in FS9, but have no incentive to convert them to FSX. I kinda wish someone else would take on that challenge and make the conversation available to those of us who are somewhat technically challenged...:isadizzy:

I purchased the A-4 from Flightsim Pilot Shop this morning. Here is what the download page said: File Last Updated: Tuesday, 06th November, 2012 @ 12:10pm The download zip file is called VRT-480.zip, and it appears to be version 1.0. Guess we have to wait for them to update the download to version 1.1

Simviation limits you to two downloads at a reduced speed for the free account. For multiple and higher speeds you need a payed account.

Another Fine product Baz, your team should be proud.... It is unfortunate the number of "Nay sayers" in the sim world now.... I have always appreciated the fine work you guys do. Now if there we're a US Marine Corps texture that would be the cream in my tea.... Good work

    Hi Baz,

Sorry to disturb you but did you get my PMs and Emails?

    Cheers,

  4. Thanks Milton.

Yes, we all go through things. I'll leave it alone. Sound advice thankyou. B.
  5. Baz, I do recall another similar question a year or so ago. I do not know but suspect that he had late/post war service, maybe 46 or 47 and was simply exposed to a lot of wartome buddies with the knowledge.

At any rate, Helldiver has his moments as we all do but is usually worse when meds aren't doing what is expected or he's had a rough day. I overlook some of his comments out of respect for his age and who really knows what he has been through or is going through.

    Kind regards
    Milton

Sorry, just to clarify the gauges in model thing, I meant that one gauge, not the whole panel! R aka LonelyplanetXO

Giday Bazzar, I bought the Tiltrotor today - overall, great job! I have a couple of questions which dont seem to be covered by the manual. Following the manual for cold dark startup, I'm seeing multiple cautions stay on after starting which dont appear to want to go out. Additionally the prop torque gauge for #1 reads inversely to #2. You say lift off at 80%N1 but liftoff requires all gauges off the dials, making me suspect #1 has hot started and is not running. What am I doing wrong? Oh, one other thing. It seems quite stuttery in turns (FS9 model). I guess thats because of the gauge refresh rate relating to Rob's VTOL gauge. Is it possible to build the gauges into the .mdl file, so as to inheret the models refresh rate? (yeah, big ask i know Best regards, Robin
