In short open the texture file in Martin Wright's DTX1 bitmap manipulator and export the alpha channel as a bmp file. Darken this bmp file in a photo editing program and import it again in the original bitmap. Make back-ups and adjust the shade of the bmp file until you are satisfied. A trick of 5 minutes, not more when you are familiar with the process. It might need a bit longer when you need to learn the process (but make sure to make back-ups!). Martin Wrights Graphic tools can be found here: http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/ (you will need DTXbmp). Good luck, Huub

Worthless, Did you read carefully the part about replacing the original La Rochelle building.dp files? I had to correct a couple of the .dp files in order to get the scenery to work. I fixed the .dp files and re-uploaded the La Rochelle package on June 15th, 2013. If you did not update those files, CFS2 is locking up because those .dp files are flawed and are not generating the .cdp files. You need to overwrite the original .dp files for the La Rochelle scenery with the updated ones in the package, and make sure to delete your filelist.dat and .cdp files, allowing them to regenerate. That should fix your issues, my friend.

I have seen your request, but I have nearly all native FSX Warbirdsim P-51s installed so there is no real reason for me to install Wozza's FS9 P-51 in FSX. As most of our members live on the other side of the pond (at least for me), most of our members haven't seen your request yet. So I suggest to wait for at least 12 more hours to see whether there is somebody able to help you. If not I will install Wozza's Stang (tomorrow) and do an attempt to create something. Remember; patience is a virtue....... and help is something which is offered, but there is is no right to demand it. Cheers, Huub

In weightlessness it is difficult to move heavy things. The force to start the movement will be equally large on your body. When you want to stop the movement you will have to apply force again which will also make your body move. That's why the Belgian and Dutch have developed a sort of camera tri-pod which can be mounted in the cupola from the International Space Station. In the place where I work we have a clean room in which all items which will be introduced in the European part from ISS will have a fit and compatibility check, before they are moved to ISS. When I was in this cleanroom in December last year I discovered the tri-pod which will be mounted in the cupola to support the cameras. With some imagination you see the shape of a half cupola with the bracket mounted. There is no camera on the bracket. I assume this item has been taken to ISS by the European astronaut Luca Parmitano last May. So you can expect better quality pictures due to some Belgian and Dutch engineering.... Cheers, Huub

In that case: I hope you can live with a few missing cylinders in the engine model.... :kilroy: The default flight model isn't great but Fliger747 (I think) did a new flightmodel for it and that should still be available in the library.

I might add to blow out the dust with a compressed air container. This should be done on a regular basis. Heat is number one for computer trouble and damage.

When it happens independent of where and what you are flying, the answer is yes..... It might also be a cooling/heat problem. You could try whether it improves when you take a cover from your PC.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Other Add-Ons Description: A CFS2 Luftwaffe bomber pilot/crew member from the Battle of Britain era. Modelled from Wolfi's basic source file. This can be treated like any other 'weapon' (although this is non-exploding!), and can be placed using an ac's DP. Coral Sea/Midway really needs a redo... our (Bruce Baker as well) effort for CFS2 really does not do FSX justice as we were working with a poly budget under 10K. Let me see what I have in drydock or I can find plans on so we can do them right for FSX. Very nice work with Oriskany! I had been working on the island but was not happy with my hull to put a 27C class out.
