I know i probably make you people a bit crazy with all my fire related stuff..but atleast fire is something everyone can relate to.i think stories of wild sewer cleanout jobs would get old fast....:biggrin-new:...i could tell you a couple when dad and grampa had to use dads CJ5 to pull a 15 foot long mass of roots from a sewerline.they hung it over a tree branch and a guy from the Auburn Journal took photos,it ran as the headline on the front page of the following days have it somewhere..the paper, not the roots..then fire related, there was a structure fire at the local Catholic church one afternoon,my father and his buddy Bill Mispley were on the fornt page the next day while fighting the small fire, they didnt have turnout gear back then, early 1960's,and...

No, I don't know for sure but it is only logical. This seems like a strange statement from Orbx since they advertise within the community. Just look at all the people here who have purchased their products. If 1% is the SIM community, which I find highly suspect, who are the other 99%? The more I think of it the more ludicrous it sounds.

You know what I said was half in jest. The fact that a large amount of P3D sales are going to people who just want to derive enjoyment from the SIM is not lost on Lockheed Martin. Don't forget they are a bottom line company with stock holders who want a return on their investment. Lockheed Martin's marketing strategy is brilliant. They can sell a product that they don't have to support in the way a gaming company would have to but believe me, they don't care how you use it personally.

This may already be mentioned but the exe.xml in p3d v2 doesn't exist by default. Some software addons will install it but the easiest way to install it is if you have a copy of FSX on your system and copy the FSX exe.xml file to p3d. Then open it in a standard text editor and edit it to eliminate anything that pertains to FSX and is not installed in p3d. If you look at the FSX exe.xml file you will see it is pretty straight forward and easily understandable for editing.

PREPAR3D is not a flight simulator it is a dynamically changing environment brought about by new innovations of modern technology and the contributions of outstanding designers to provide a vehicle for immersive teaching and training. To think it is anything else means you take it lightly and just want to have fun. That is absolutely forbidden! Anyways I'm waiting for my next SS check so I can get serious about v3.

    Hey Dave,
Just read your piece about finding peace through the Lord at the SOH. That is, it possible? Yes,...the Good Lord reaches out to all of us. Depending if we care to reach back and open the door for Him. This might be a small, tiny step in renewing one's faith that one might have been lost some time ago. Take it from me,....I've walked the journey. I was on my knees one night to accept the Lord into my life. I haven't looked back.
    Best Regards,
    -Brad Kaste
