well all i know is my buddy Allen puts the engines together for Kyle's xfinity series cars,so he can win all he wants.....but i agree with the thought that the teams should be involved with the lower tier series, but the drivers really shouldn't,but then i also feel that the cup guys can teach the newer guys technic by racing with them,i mean the young guys will learn from gettin beat every week by the same guys, and eventually beat or atleast compete with them...kyle larson is in that catagory..though i think he has been hurt by getting into cup to soon..and for signing with ganassi...that team just doesnt have that "thing" needed to be really competitive...i mean look at JPM...hes a great driver..yet he won one? race?..

Daveroo replied to a thread Drone pilot arrested in The NewsHawks
hey Don..this: However, on a related note, I have to ask, in at least the two instances I've read about here, just how close to those operations was the "drone" being flown?? And, was it a fixed wing aircraft, or the more common for photo use, a multi-rotor? Not saying it was proper in either case, but sometimes I have known pilots to be "concerned" if hobby operations occur within ten miles of an airport, when they, the full scale pilot, doesn't get within 15 miles of the hobby operations, which are normally kept within 500' AGL, and rarely more than 5-600' horizontally from the model runway. We have one of these in our local area, while our club includes 8 full scale pilots, and the airport operator has expressed interest in joining and learning to fly R/C! got me to...

again, thank you to everyone.ive posted about silly arguments i've had with my dad...some had me wishing i was never born..ya know?..i know he loved me,and i loved him,but i know i didn't like him more than i did like him.and i'm pretty sure he felt the same way about me,he would force me into things i didn't have any want to do (meaning sports, like little league baseball and the like) its things like he didn't want to throw a ball with me so i could improve, yet he would say things like, you can't be my son,my son would have been a natural at this,,these things being said to me in front of my entire team and and most of the parents, yet when i started racing and i was being told by complete strangers..damn kid, you're a natural driver, you'll go far in this sport,my dad never once told me he...

as the original poster of this thread and a mod here,i completely agree with Dons statements, that said..i'm not saying i disagree with scott..ok maybe i'm wishywashy..sue me..lol..but lets get back on track with the original post..and that has to do with idiots frying these things to take video or photos of wildfire and endangering firefighting aircraft which include very low level helicopter ops (the tanked ones fly much lower than the bucket equipped ones, airtankers which normally drop at 150' AGL,on the trailhead fire, they were flying below the ridge tops,i mean deep into the canyons, the terrain there is very steep with deep canyons,so steep that some crews that came in were doing helicopter repelling as well as rope repelling down cliffs, which meant after several long hot days they...

thay do add downforce, and yes its usefull, but you have to have both sets of wings, you lose the nose wing and it just wont turn, and if you "romp" on it,,it will lift both front tires at a time you just dont want them to lift..lol..ive run both winged and non winged, both are alot of fun to run,i hate to say it,but the winged cars are easier to drive really..takes more skill in a non winged car.lots of throttle control needed.more stagger in the rear tires aswell. bottomline..yes the wings do add usefull downforce. i watched a mixed show once at the Hanford Calif speedway ,the non winged cars did well but the winged cars had the advantage for sure.the non winged cars turned better in my opinion, but the winged cars out ran them on the straights. but mind you, this is a hot point for...

    Hey Dave,
Just read your piece about finding peace through the Lord at the SOH. That is,...is it possible? Yes,...the Good Lord reaches out to all of us. Depending if we care to reach back and open the door for Him. This might be a small, tiny step in renewing one's faith that one might have been lost some time ago. Take it from me,....I've walked the journey. I was on my knees one night to accept the Lord into my life. I haven't looked back.
    Best Regards,
    -Brad Kaste
