Where abouts are you locating to? There are a few of us in Southern California that try to meet at air shows around here. Would be great to meet you.

thats actually a pretty normal drop, they have strict minimums too.but topography can make some drops look insane.ive seen DC 4s,6s and even the Dc 7s erikson now flys well below the canyon rim here where i live, its about 1200 ft deep give or take in some places, awesome to see is the S2's dropping straight down the canyon wall making the drop, then turning hard left and flying out up canyon (due to winds) in the northern california mountains can be thrilling at

so it were YOU who woke me at 5 AM !!!.................guess i need to apologize to my cat then.............:dizzy: but i have to ask..i remember back before they would put "guns" on restored P-51s,the open holes would whine..or whistle..sounded the same as this..or very close..that said...the Sanders Sea Furies have an opening similar looking (to me anyway) to the Corsair's air intakes on the inboard wings ( and before someone corrects me,i remember looking very closely at them several times at local airshows, they even had piping for water injection),they would whistle similar to this is it possibly the same thing as air passing over a bottle? AND..ive always felt disappointed in the sound inside a plane in fsx that has a radial or just powerfull loud when heard...

Because of the age of publication it is in the public domain. I wouldn't mind reading it again. Is it in Kindle version? On another note, if you like high seas adventures I highly recommend Patrick O'Brien's Aubrey/Maturin series. Look it up and when you start reading it you will through rocks at Hollywood.

I should pay more attention. Great addition to your superb model of the Bounty Milton. Will you be model Cpt. Bligh and his loyal men sitting in the boat? For those interested in the history and have not read the trilogy by Charles Nordhoff and James Norman Hall (1932) I highly recommend it. By far of the three, Mutiny on the Bounty, Men Against the Sea and Pitcairn Island, Men Against the Sea is the best of the three. It will give you a whole different perspective on the man Bligh. Their voyage after being cast off from the Bounty is an epic story of survival that I doubt few people could accomplish today.

I have a mid-range computer, 3gig processor, with a fair to middling graphics card and running Windows 10 fully updated. I get excellent results with FS9 and P3D and while not the best on FSX it is tolerable. One thing I don't have is extensive scenery addons and this is probably the reason for decent flying experiences in FSX. My opinion is that recent developments in scenery and aircraft are exceeding the capabilities of this aged flight simulator software and I am hopeful that we shall see some vast improvements in the near future for both divergent systems of Microsoft's ESP. LM has made some notable improvements for the technology industry and now DTG is making a strong effort to address the constraints of this software to reach a larger market share from the general public....

normally you can hear that whine and know what it is/ does it have a "generic" sound to it now?...ive always wondered ,with that distinctive sound that it would be a big target in a hostile area..would it not? yeah ya might say they wont be in those area's,but i remember reading an article in a airplane related magazine years back about how they flew in and out of the big airport in Baghdad and would come under fire, think i even saw a show about it.C-17s,C5's and C-130s .

    Hey Dave,
Just read your piece about finding peace through the Lord at the SOH. That is, it possible? Yes,...the Good Lord reaches out to all of us. Depending if we care to reach back and open the door for Him. This might be a small, tiny step in renewing one's faith that one might have been lost some time ago. Take it from me,....I've walked the journey. I was on my knees one night to accept the Lord into my life. I haven't looked back.
    Best Regards,
    -Brad Kaste
