Good-day, Previously I had mentioned that logistical problems were slowing our progress on TacPack integration, and that we would not be able to complete integration for the Spad. We're pleased to announce that these issues have been mitigated, and that we have begun testing TacPack functions on the Spad VII, and Nieuport 17. TacPack features will be included in the forthcoming Spad update. - Joseph

In all seriousness, we are too! The B-25 certainly isn't dead, and is probably due by Fall, though we won't make any promises. ;) - Joseph

Martin, Thanks for the feedback. I should thing that the biggest audible difference that there should be, would be from the extra RPM that the racing guys use. (Up to 2675, vs 2250). Your thoughts on landing are probably correct. It's probably too gentle. Just curious if all of your realism sliders full right, for P-Factor/Torque ? Most reports are clear, that she can be swirly in the landing stage, particularly if the pilot is not just a little bit ahead of her. This is mostly due to the CG, and narrow wheelbase. (Unlike high performance fighters, which would have even less visibility, yet a wider gear stance, and much more dangerous hazards on a rapid power-up for go around) - Joseph

The Racers package should remain stand-alone, as the .cfg, .air, and .xml systems programming all work together. - Joseph

In regards to the flight model.. I cannot speak for John's, however the Flight Model in the Racers package is entirely new, using dozens of reports, many first hand. They are designed around a regular-flying type modern day T-6, however still remain relatively stock. Don't let the 'Racers' thing fool you, the aircraft still performs very much as a stock aircraft, when operated within the recommended limitations. - Joseph

FS Sound Studio doesn't work with 3d cones. All of the 3d cone parameters must be done by hand in the sound.cfg. - Joseph

Stickshaker, With regards to TP integration. VRS (Vertical Reality Simulations) currently charges $39.95 for their product TacPack. Most of that market is aimed at the Jet-Age, and more modern military aircraft. We did not experience the best of support from VRS, to allow us to enable to features of TP on the Spad 7, and Nieuport 17. (Though as you mention, it was originally intended) So for the timing being, the short answer is no, TP will not be included on the Spad. However, we hope to re-evaluate the possibilities with adding TP other applicable war-time aircraft. Best! - Joseph

Vertigo Studios SPAD VII Some of you may have missed, or overlooked the Vertigo Studios SPAD VII, was released last November. To those of you who did acquire it, some of it's bugs were probably readily apparent! More on that in a minute.. I have recently become partners with Vertigo Studios, joining forces to ensure a bright future for their add-on development. Unfortunately, we don't have access to the source files for most of our previous products, since they had mostly been out-sourced. The good news is, that from henceforth we'll be able to accomplish everything in house, and offer more capable support for said developments. The first project in the pipeline, is the Nieuport 17. There's some pretty neat features going into this one, which should be exciting! With that said,...

Thanks for the thoughts Paul. I do agree, one whitelist. However, I don't know where you got the idea that the F-86 could have ever been used for a wildcard? To quote the rules; "Pilots must fly an aircraft with atakeoff weight of 30,000 pounds or more, they may not exceed the maximum grossweight, and they may choose either a normal race eligible aircraft or a sponsored Jet." You have to significantly overload any of the cold-war Jets to achieve that weight.
