This standalone package adds new startup procedures, auto-mixture management, interactive checklist, VC chatter and the 'Monitor' panel to a re-textured VC.
The mods are largely based on Jan Visser's (team DIGITAL DAKOTA WORKS) C-47 package. Models revised by Manfred Jahn, textures by Gordon (gman) Madison and Nick Cooper, testing by Alan G. Ampolsk and Ralf Scholten.
Original historical research by John Detrick, flight dynamics by Alexander M. Metzger, gauges, animations, and failure conditions by Hansjoerg Naegele.
This package allows simmers to fly any of Manfred Jahn's V3 C-47s from a modern VC complete with 3D GPS, radio and AP panels, annunciator screen, interactive checklist, and 2D 'Monitor' panel.
The package is full-scale standalone (165 MB zipped) and includes two exterior models - a Piedmont Airlines C-47 and a ski-equipped US Navy R4D-5.
Models revised by Manfred Jahn, textures by Gordon (gman) Madison and Nick Cooper, testing by Alan G. Ampolsk and Ralf Scholten.
For further credits (FDE, sounds, gauges, etc) refer to Jan Visser's (DIGITAL DAKOTA WORKS) original C-47 V3 package.
FSX/FSX-SE/P3D Douglas C-47R Skytrain V3.14 Beta.zip
Update for our Douglas C-47R Skytrain V3.12 Beta. Featuring nightlighted VVC, significantly updated Interactive Checklist, Automixture function, fine tuned flight dynamics and groundhandling with 2 choices of groundsteering, OMI Marker lights, selectable 'Cutie' picture plus various modifications, corrections and additions according to V3.12 users feedback.
Note: This package was modified by the SOH librarian on 16 August, 2020 to include the following update: Due to some rushing and the fact I haven't been that active in uploading for a while, I messed up a few things in my recent Noorduyn Norseman (Norseman_Floats_X_updated.zip) upload.
I forgot to double check the animation for the rudder and water rudder animations. Also there was an issue with the contact points. The new aircraft cfg file repairs that issue.
Sorry about that.
To install, just put the inclued model folders in the Main Norseman_Floats_X_updated aircraft folder and overwite everything. That should fix the issues.
FSX Noorduyn Norseman on floats Converted from FS 2004 to Native FSX/P3d UPDATED
I screwed up in the original upload in the Model cfg. this fixes the problem.
The Noorduyn Norseman was built from 1935 until 1959. The have been used all over the world in both civil and military roles. The famous US Band Leader and composer Glen Miller disappeared in a Noresman over the English Channel during WWII. They have been used primarily for bush planes on both wheels and floats. Most of them being used in Canada. The Noorduyn company continues to this day in Montreal building aircraft interiors. Made with FSDS 2.6. Updated to Native FSX using Arno's Model Converter X. Includes custom panel bitmap by Ken Mitchel. Includes 3 paint schemes, Canadian, USAF and Bush Flying Unlimited. Full moving parts including Water rudders and opening doors. Features a fully functional VC. Dynamics based on Fred Banting's DH Beaver.
Thanks to Dave Eckert for his pilot figure, radial engine and 3 blade prop files which saved me a considerable amount of time building this plane. I also want to thank Fred Banting for his Beaver flight dynamics that I used as the starting point for this projects flight dynamics. I want to thank Steven Grant for his propeller bitmap, and Also to Ken Mitchel for his terrific Panel bitmap.
This is a conversion of J.E. Narcizo of Brazil's FS9 Piper Supercub to native FSX thanks to Brian Gladden. Senor Narcizo graciously gave his approval to do the conversion and to share it here in SOH. His original download had both regular tired model and the Tundra tire model. This is the tundra tire model. There is a consideration to do the other model in the future and since both the panel and textures are exchangeable between both models it will be easy to do. This is a custom panel with default gauges to replace the FS98 gauges of the original. I hope you enjoy it.
